The oldest musical instrument of Buyi nationality in southwest Guizhou
Buyi nationality in southwest Guizhou is a large minority in southwest China. Buyi language is the national language, and Sino-Tibetan language is a branch of Zhuang-Dong language family, which is closely related to Zhuang language and widely used in Chinese. The oldest musical instrument of this nation is the bronze drum, which is called "coming year". It's all made of bronze, and the drum body is cast with various patterns. Before 1950, almost every village had bronze drums, and grand festivals were bound to be played for fun. For funerals and sacrifices, only Mo Gong can beat bronze drums according to ritual procedures.
Buyi people are mainly distributed in Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan and other provinces, among which Guizhou has the largest population, accounting for 97% of the national Buyi population. Mainly living in two Buyi and Miao autonomous prefectures in Qiannan and Southwest Guizhou, as well as Anshun, Guiyang and Liupanshui. The remaining cities, counties and cities are scattered, and a small number of them live in Vietnam.
Buyi architecture
Buyi folk houses include buildings, semi-buildings and bungalows. Generally, the second half of a half-floor is a bungalow, the first half is a building, or the left (right) half is a bungalow, and the right (left) half is the architectural pattern of a building. Architecture and semi-architecture are the traditional architectural forms of Buyi people. The upper floor of the building is high, people live in it, and the lower floor is low, and livestock are kept in captivity. In ancient times, it was called "dry fence" or "hemp fence".
Simple structure, beautiful form, suitable for the terrain characteristics of southern mountainous areas. In the room layout, the back wall of the hall is set with shrines to worship ancestors, which are divided into kitchen, bedroom and guest room on the left and right. There is a fire pit in the room for the family to keep warm and cook.
