Suture and application of Suzhou embroidery

First, direct embroidery

1, straight needle: it is completely embroidered with vertical lines, and the thread lifting needles are all on the edge, all parallel, and the edges are neat. Color matching is based on one color line, and there is no sum color. Where the stitch is too long, thread nails are used, which later evolved into the method of laying needles and carving lines.

2. Needle winding: Embroider the pattern with diagonal short lines, and the needle starts here and falls there in the same direction.

Second, the needle:

Disc needle is a kind of needle method to represent curved body. Comprises a cutting needle, a connecting needle, a needle roller and a rotating needle. Among them, the cutting needle was the earliest, and later it developed into a rotating needle.

1, needle cutting: also called "pricker". The needle is connected with the needle and penetrates. The second stitch must be connected with the original eye of the first stitch, and the stitch should be as thin as fish roe. The so-called "three needles in a sesame seed" lies in this.

2, needle: straight needle thread can be elongated, but it will be thrown up because it is too long. The scissors can draw a long thread, but the stitch will be exposed.

3, needle roller: needle roller is also called curved needle, needle needle is tight and embroidered. The second needle is inserted in front of the first needle, pressing the thread, hiding the stitch under the thread, and the third needle is connected with the tail of the first needle, and so on.

4. Spinning needle: It is a stitch method of embroidery with a needle or a needle roller. When embroidering, use a short needle to coil the needle along the zigzag line of the garment body, which is even and dense, without exposing the stitch.

Third, the set of needles: began in the Tang Dynasty and prevailed in the Song Dynasty. It was further developed in Lu Xiangyuan embroidery in Ming Dynasty and Shen Shou in Qing Dynasty.

1, single set:

Also known as flat sleeves. Its embroidery method is as follows: the first batch of needles starts from the edge and the edge is neat; The second batch of falling needles is in the first batch, and the first batch needs to leave a gap to accommodate the second batch of falling needles; The third batch needs to go to the end of the first batch, and then leave the gap of the fourth batch of needles; The fourth batch is connected to the end of the second batch ...; After that, and so on.

2. Double sets: The embroidery method of double sets is the same as that of single sets, but it is deeper and the batch number is shorter than that of single sets. It connects the fourth batch with the first batch, that is, the second batch visits three quarters of the first batch, the third batch visits two quarters of the first batch, and the fourth batch visits one quarter of the first batch.

3. Wooden comb sleeve: its embroidery method is the same as that of single sleeve, but it is looser than single sleeve. After the first batch leaves the edge, the second batch drops needles at half of the first batch, and one needle is set every other row. The second batch was inserted at the tail of the first batch and sandwiched in the gap left by the second batch. 4. Set: Embroidery is also like a single set, but the first batch of needles in the outer mouth is more, and the number of needles in one batch is less, and the short needles are stored in batches. At the end of embroidery, all the threads around are concentrated in one eye, one after another, just like a single set.

5. Partial wool cover: it is the cover method of embroidered bird hair, that is, the cover method of embroidered hair. Its method market: according to the grain of the wool, the embroidery method is the same as that of the double set, but the line is slightly longer. So some people call it a "multi-empty set".

6, live wool cover: it is used to embroider animals. There are two ways to cover it: one is to Ping Xiu three stitches first, and then add a cross stitch on the third stitch. This embroidery method has certain rules, and it is embroidered in groups. The second type is tight inside, radial outside and embroidered from outside to inside. The thread on the second batch covers half of the previous batch, and the needle is dropped and rotated according to the shape of the animal. There are also two embroidery methods used together.

Fourth, Mr. and the needle:

Also known as long and short needles. This needle uses long and short needles alternately, and the back needle is drawn out from the middle of the front needle, with uneven edge, which has the advantage of smooth color matching and can be used to embroider simulated images.

Five, grasp the needle:

Also known as pushing the needle, it is a needle method that uses a short straight needle to follow the posture of the body, and the back needle follows the front needle, one needle at a time. It can be said that this kind of needling is the development of straight needling.

Six, ordinary needle

1. Flat stitch: It is an embroidery method that uses gold and silver thread instead of silk thread. The method: firstly, lay gold thread or silver thread on the embroidery ground, and then needle it with short silk thread. Every needle gauge is one and a half minutes, and it is circuitously filled according to the embroidery pattern, including two or three rows and several rows. Tie the thread on the flower like a cross pattern, just like the sole pattern.

2. Sewing thread: Sewing thread is a special embroidery method in which fine colored thread replaces gold thread. This color line is called brown line, also called root line. Its embroidery method is similar to Pingjin, because it has many lines and colors, and the objects that can be embroidered are much wider than Pingjin.

Suzhou embroidery can be divided into two types according to the stitch method: random stitch embroidery and flat stitch embroidery. Random needle embroidery, as its name implies, is a kind of embroidery method with messy acupuncture. In fact, it is a seemingly chaotic embroidery with certain rules to follow. The works embroidered by this stitch method are generally mixed by straight diagonal lines and horizontal diagonal lines, and then colored in layers until the light, color and shape are similar. Compared with random embroidery, plain embroidery has neat lines and regular stitches. The work embroidered by this method is relatively flat, which is more common in embroidered plants, especially flowers.
