Weicheng town traditional culture

With the establishment of Zhenxiwei, its important military and traffic functions have become increasingly prominent, and frequent business contacts have promoted the prosperity of Zhenxiwei. "Draft of Qingzhen County Records of the Republic of China" records: "There are many merchants in the Acropolis, and the transactions are gathered in one city. Clear and salty, tongzhi, bright, propaganda, smoke and mud sell well, and foreign businessmen compete here first, thus attracting other industries and actively promoting them. The city is more prosperous than the county. " Businessmen from other provinces and local areas have built halls and temples here, where various cultures and customs blend, forming the unique architectural culture, food culture and folk culture of the ancient town.

Architectural culture

Acropolis architecture not only has the characteristics of northern dwellings, but also combines the styles of Jiangxi and Hunan, and is built in turn according to the topography of Acropolis. Its architectural style is mainly reflected in the construction of houses, halls and temples.

The houses in the Acropolis are mostly wooden structures with small blue tiles, which are mostly built in the form of "gold covered with silver" (the pillars of wooden houses are wrapped in bricks). The most prominent is the quadrangle, the second courtyard, the third courtyard or the fourth courtyard. The style of a house is generally to walk through the pavement or hall of a street and walk through a courtyard (also called a courtyard dam). The yard is generally about fifteen or sixteen square meters small and twenty or thirty square meters large. On the left and right sides of the dam, some have built rooms, some have built flower beds (some people have small fish ponds), and the first room is opposite the yard. The doors and windows of the house are carved with dragon and phoenix seals and carved with flowers, birds and animals. The wooden square table, square table and plush chair are well arranged. The quadrangles with two entrances, three entrances and four entrances are built on the mountain according to the topography of Weicheng Town, which gives people the feeling of climbing step by step.

Throughout the residential buildings in Acropolis, there are both magnificent houses in the south of the Yangtze River and dignified quadrangles in the north, especially binary or ternary quadrangles, which are more suitable for large families to live in.

folk culture

Folk culture is an important cultural factor of ancient town culture, which is precipitated by historical development and inheritance. The main folk customs inherited from the Acropolis are: dragon and lion dancing, lighting on the fifteenth day of the first month, Guanyin meeting, wearing flowers and taking cows, climbing the Dragon Boat Festival, beating gongs and drums, Miao people dancing drums and drums to worship their ancestors, Miao people dancing lusheng, Miao people inspiring, Mid-Autumn Melon Lantern Festival and so on.

Red culture

Red culture is an advanced culture with China characteristics created by producers, advanced elements and people in China. The Acropolis is also an ancient town with a glorious red cultural history. 1February, 936, the second and sixth armies of the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants entered the Acropolis under the leadership of He Long and Xiao Ke. The Red Second and Sixth Army Corps held a meeting of 1,000 people here to publicize the idea of resisting Japan and saving the country, and at the same time distributed staple food and salt to the poor people, which won the support of the broad masses. Here, Alex Yang, Tan Zhide and other 29 Qingzhen youths joined the Red Army, which laid the foundation for the establishment of the revolutionary base areas in northwest Guizhou.

In addition, on 20 10, 10, Tao Siliang, the daughter of former state leader Tao Zhu, put up a "Thanksgiving Mountain" monument in front of Alex Yang's grave to thank the old Red Army in Alex Yang, which injected a touch of gratitude culture into the red culture of the Acropolis.
