Traditional Confucianism is speculative, right?
Personally, I don't like Neo-Confucianism very much. Compared with Zhu Cheng's Neo-Confucianism, I am more interested in Lu Wang's thoughts. As for Confucianism, it is more speculative than Qin and Han dynasties. That's because the Qin and Han Dynasties was the initial stage of the resurgence of Confucianism in the Warring States Period. Confucianism was not mature, but it reached its peak in the Song Dynasty. At this time, Confucianism was relatively perfect, and its development also encountered bottlenecks and was unsustainable. This is the development of Neo-Confucianism and Psychology.
