What substances does sodium quinonesulfonate react with
Azide sulfonylation of sodium quinolone sulfonate produced a series of β-azide sulfonated products. A series of sulfonated 1-isoindolone compounds were constructed by a four-component reaction involving olefins promoted by visible light. The sulfonation reaction 4 and the construction of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds 5 were investigated. The intramolecular intersulfonation reaction of 2vinylbenzamide and sodium sulfite was achieved under the promotion of copper nitrate trihydrate.
Special toxicological studies of quinolone sulfonates showed that quinolone sulfonates exhibited mutagenicity in an in vitro microbial test system but not in an in vivo mutagenicity assay; the prediction of potential carcinogenicity by the CPBS assay resulted in a noncarcinogenicity; and conventional teratology tests showed that quinolone sulfonates were not embryotoxic or teratogenic in mice.
