What is EVA material?

EVA, refers to ethylene vinyl acetate **** polymer. It is a common material with high crystallinity and good flexibility which is widely used in many fields such as foaming shoes, functional shed film, etc.

EVA than PE performance improvement, mainly elasticity, flexibility, gloss, breathability and so on, in addition, its resistance to environmental stress cracking has been improved, the filler of the tolerance increases, can be used to add more enhanced filler method to avoid or reduce the decline in the mechanical properties of EVA than PE. EVA can also be modified to obtain new materials. EVA emulsion can be used as cement modifier, cement is one of the most widely used materials in construction engineering. But simple cement products have the disadvantages of easy cracking and poor water resistance, impact resistance and acid resistance, which affect the practical effect of cement to a certain extent. Since the 1920s, people have been devoted to the research on the modification of cement. With the continuous deepening of the research, it has been found that many synthetic emulsions have better effect on cement modification, such as polyvinyl acetate emulsion, acrylic emulsion, butylbenzene and toluene emulsion, EVA emulsion and so on.

Of these, EVA emulsion is being widely used in civil engineering as a new material due to its good water resistance, acid and alkali resistance and weather resistance, and cheaper price than similar products. In recent years, in the consideration of environmental protection, EVA re-dispersible latex powder gradually appeared in the market, and gradually replaced the position of EVA emulsion in cement modifier, and became the main product of the main cement modifier.
