What qigong is better

Qigong is a term that has come into existence only in recent times. In the beginning, it was a kind of kung fu in martial arts, but later it was generalized to refer to: guiding, vomiting, martial arts qigong, the art of health care, and the Buddhist Taoist method of "double cultivation of life", etc.

Because it refers to such a wide range, it is difficult to make a precise interpretation of its meaning.

Because it refers to a wide range, it is difficult to make a precise interpretation of its meaning. Generally speaking, it can strengthen the body, get rid of diseases and prolong life; to a larger extent, it can be immortal, youthful and so on.

According to the traditional culture, the Buddhist method of "life and death" is the most profound; it can be called the "supreme mind method". Therefore, we will only introduce the "life and death" method of the Buddhist Way.

The method of cultivation.

The method of practice that I am describing here is the basis of the introductory method of the Tantric Heart Dharma of the ancient sages and monks; at the same time, it is also the essence and the key point of the Tantric Heart Dharma; that is to say, it is the method of introduction, and it can also be used for in-depth practice; the method of the original text is the method of the world, while the method of the world that I am describing here is different, so it is not the same. Due to the different schools and disciplines, the methods are different. In general, it can be divided into the following two methods, each with its own emphasis:

1, the method of stopping the mind (the Buddhists called: stopping the mind is like water)

The use of seated, standing or lying posture can be. Regarding the posture, I will not go into details here. You can refer to the qigong books in the world, and for sitting posture, you can refer to the currently more popular method in yoga gong (we suggest reading the book Yoga - Qigong and Meditation, co-authored by Bo Zhongyan and Zhang Huilan, which is more authoritative). Because of the different schools, many of the same postures have different names. Sitting postures are more commonly used, so we will introduce the common designations (mainly for yoga): Simple sitting (human plate or loose plate), half-lotus sitting (ground or single plate), lotus sitting (heavenly plate or double plate). Begin with simple sitting and gradually increase the difficulty, do not rush. If your body is too stiff, you can practice some yoga poses or do some other kind of flexibility training.

When sitting in meditation, it is prudent to prevent the attack of wind, cold, heat and humidity; otherwise, there is no cure. The lower half of the body to keep warm, moisture, especially important. The back can not be to the wind, know: avoid the wind such as avoiding arrows; to know: the gods are still afraid of the wind behind the head, not to mention that we are all mortals. Plate sitting on rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis and other types of arthritis, has a very good therapeutic effect. If you feel unbearable pain in the joints after the disk, please move your legs outward; the pain still can not be relieved, let go of the disk; wait and try again, if the situation remains the same, there may be hidden diseases, please go to the hospital as soon as possible for a thorough examination and treatment. As a side note, people with illnesses should not rely solely on the practice of the method, and those who should seek medical attention must see a doctor. In addition to doing it when doing gong, it is also possible to do it in normal times. First practice legs, then practice heart; quiet practice gas, chaotic practice God.

This method is extremely similar to the meditation in yoga gong. After sitting down, gently close your eyes while turning your gaze inward. Concentrate your attention and energy, in one place, i.e.: intention. Observe the breath and make it deep, long, slow and even. It is better if you: gradually enter the state of forgetfulness. Mortals use their spirit externally, while sages guard their spirit internally. The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine says: "When the spirit is guarded internally and the true qi comes from it, where does illness come from."

For first-time practitioners, the distractions after sitting down will instead be more numerous. There are two explanations for this situation. (1) We ourselves are in a chaotic environment, so you don't feel that the mind is that chaotic; when it is quieted down, it is reflected. (2) It is as if the old messy accounts are now taken out for organizing; many forgotten accounts are turned out; then, they are categorized and dealt with; after clearing the accounts, the new accounts are cleared as they come in. For example: previously promised others things or owed favors, it should be done, it is done; the return of the favor, it is returned; so that the mind is over, the heart will naturally calm down. This is a necessary process, and in the future there will be fewer distractions.

The best way to deal with distractions is to treat yourself as a bystander, letting them come and go, not welcoming or rejecting them. Just like treating a guest you don't welcome, neither welcome nor reject; make it feel uninteresting, and it will go away by itself. In ordinary times when things happen, how to deal with it, how to deal with it. As long as you can make your own state of mind, like water, the slightest ripple, and then returned to calm, it can be. It is like: a stone enters a quiet lake, ripples more than a moment, and then returns. Another example: A swallow passes through the sky, and its shadow sinks into a cold pool. The swallow has no intention of leaving a shadow, and the water has no intention of keeping the swallow.

Withdrawal. Rub both hands together, place the palms of the hands directly over the eyeballs, and gently caress them so that the heat is transmitted to the eyes; do this 3 or 9 times. Rub both hands together hot and stroke the face from top to bottom, 3 or 9 times. Comb the head with the ten fingers (comb the scalp, not the hair), 3 or 9 times. Rub both hands together and cover the ears for a while, 3 or 9 times. Rub both hands together and stroke them over the area of the two kidneys, allowing the heat to travel to the kidneys; 3 or 9 times (if you feel mild discomfort in the kidneys, don't worry about it, it's normal; you can do it a few more times). Gently open your eyes, release the disk, and get up, after the work. Move around or massage the ankles and knees, when the numbness disappears, that is, back to normal. In case of emergency, you can omit some steps; fix your mind, slowly open your eyes, slowly get up, you can. People who are too weak want to rub their hands together to warm them up, which is more difficult; simply do it, and you'll be fine. Sometimes when you feel that the energy in your body is unusually active, focus all your attention on calming it down; when it is calm, sit quietly for about 20 minutes, and then perform the method of closing the gong.

2. The method of regulating breathing.

This method is basically the same as the method of closing the mind and stopping the thought, the difference is that the main focus is to adjust the breath (adjusting the breath). Some people may think that it is not just adjusting the breath, and what is so special about it? Breathing method of physical benefits is quite grand, and in Chinese and Western medical theory can be found in the basis to explain. I'm not going to elaborate here, as long as you pay attention to it.

Shun abdominal breathing: inhalation, the belly with the bulging; exhalation, the belly inward. Inhale or exhale not to reach the limit, otherwise it will be very difficult; to reach 8 to 90%, it is OK. Make the breathing deep, long, slow and even, this can improve the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood, and reduce the energy consumed during breathing.

People who are extremely weak will find it strenuous even to regulate their breathing; advice: focus on natural breathing.

Centering and stopping the mind is for cultivating the mind, which is suitable for young people and people with good physical condition; regulating the breath is for cultivating the body, which is suitable for weak and old people; the two methods can also be used together as one method.

The duration of each exercise is at least 30 minutes; if it is too short, it will be difficult to achieve results; generally 1 hour is appropriate. The choice of time for practicing gong: most of the time is fine, but older people should not practice gong at the time of the day (23:00 ~ 1:00), in order to prevent danger. Some special times are also good opportunities for practicing, such as: energetic, fatigue, excitement, waking up and so on. When practicing gong, all situations and sights encountered are normal, do not be alarmed (be sure to fix your mind and not be moved); most of them are illusions and should not be taken seriously (take yourself as a bystander), otherwise you will go astray. Remember! Remember! Cultivation is a kind of physical and mental feeling that varies from person to person and cannot be forced. There are individuals who feel nothing at all, those who are at peace with yin and yang; if they can persist in practicing, they will have great achievements. You should not easily tell others about your own state of mind; otherwise, there will be unexpected trouble.

The above is enough for most people, if you want to go deeper, you have to study the Buddhist and Taoist classics or wait until later to meet the master (the master of the school) to point out. As I am not well educated, a lot of things do not understand; coupled with the "three mouths do not say, six ears do not pass" of the old adage, can only speak of these. Cultivation of the road is difficult and dangerous, for most people, or not in-depth good. Those who wish to practice according to the above method, and then refer to the study of Buddhism, Taoism classics; when the time is ripe, will be able to break through the mystery or meet the master enlightenment. In addition, there is another special thing about cultivation: when you reach a certain level, you will be able to understand a lot of things without a teacher; therefore, I won't talk about the benefits of cultivation, but I will understand them later. This is also the reason why some people think I am a bit incredible as a person.

Due to the differences in qualifications, constitution, enlightenment, understanding, receptivity, cultural level and knowledge structure of each person, the situations and progress encountered vary. Some people can reach a higher level in a very short time; some people cultivate their whole life and are still at that high level. This is very normal, it depends on the creation of all of you.
