Is the Spring Festival in Viet Nam the same as that in China?

Is the Spring Festival in Viet Nam the same as that in China? We all know that the Spring Festival is the most important day of the year for us, not only in China, but also in Viet Nam. Because this country is close to ours, it is deeply influenced by our Confucian culture and religion. So how do Vietnamese celebrate the Spring Festival? Will there be a Spring Festival Gala there?

We all know that the 23rd of the twelfth lunar month is a small year in northern China, and this day is the "Kitchen God Festival" of Vietnamese people, which can also be called "New Year's Eve". And their legend about the kitchen god is very similar to our country. Just like our country, we always buy new year's goods one week before New Year's Eve. Their traditional new year's goods must have square rice cakes and round glutinous rice balls, indicating a bumper harvest. They are also the most important tributes, used to worship their ancestors during the Spring Festival and the "Wang Xiong Festival" on the tenth day of the third lunar month.

There must be peach blossoms, kumquat and five-fruit bowls during the Chinese New Year, which are the three treasures symbolizing prosperity, and are also several things that Vietnamese people cannot do without during the Chinese New Year. In their eyes, peach blossoms can ward off evil spirits and attract wealth, while five fruit bowls are used to worship ancestors, symbolizing that there is more than one year, while kumquat is built and cut like Jinshan, symbolizing wealth.

It is very important for us to post Spring Festival couplets on New Year's Eve, and it is equally important for Vietnamese, because Vietnamese is closely related to Chinese and is written from top to bottom. It's just that Vietnamese Spring Festival couplets are different from China Spring Festival couplets. As the most important element in Vietnamese traditional Spring Festival, the use of Roman Spring Festival couplets truly records the change of Vietnamese character preference. But unlike us in China, Vietnamese people will still go to the temple to worship Buddha after worshipping Buddha at home on New Year's Eve, and when they come back from the sacrifice, they will pick green branches to worship at home.

Vietnamese will also set off firecrackers during the Spring Festival to drive away special things, and they think that the first person to visit their home in the New Year will bring them good luck, so they usually choose a very lucky person at home. After the sacrifice, they will be the first to enter the house with branches in their hands, or visit the luckiest people among their relatives and friends as the first guests in the New Year and visit at dawn. Vietnamese also have Spring Festival Gala, but its name is Chu Jun, which is a very interesting program, but its status is the same as that of China Spring Festival Gala.
