What is used instead of gold foil?

Use electroplating gold paste instead of gold foil. At present, the most widely used gold foil in the field of gold foil pasting is divided into pure gold foil and imitation gold foil, in which pure gold foil is made into thin slices by repeatedly beating gold after purification. Gold foil made of gold is golden and bright in color, light in weight, thin in thickness and long in service life, due to its stable properties, good acid and alkali resistance, friction resistance, moisture resistance, oxidation resistance and radiation resistance.

A gold imitation decorative film which can replace gold foil is characterized by comprising a base film and a release agent layer, a first coating layer, an aluminum plating layer, a second coating layer and a colloid layer which are sequentially arranged on the base film, wherein the first coating layer and the second coating layer are mixed and coated by gold paint and an antioxidant.

The main materials of gold foil are copper, iron and other metals. In the manufacturing process, the surface will be plated with a layer of gold substance. After dozens of processes, it is often used as a foil decoration material with rich colors and changeable shapes. When gold foil is irradiated by violet light, there will be no fluorescence reaction, but there will be a green fluorescence reaction.

Fake gold foil can be observed with naked eyes and its state can be observed under purple light. If it is gold foil, it will have a green fluorescence reaction to light, while the fake gold foil will not have a green light.
