The upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics in 2022 will be a national celebration for our country, and we will welcome many international friends as hosts to serve the participants and observers. Now the recruitment of volunteers for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics has been opened, and the recruitment conditions and entry points are as follows:

I. Definition of Games Volunteers

Games volunteers refer to the people recruited by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympics and its authorized or entrusted organizations and institutions to voluntarily provide volunteer services for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics and to participate in the operation and protection of the games in the designated time, place and service positions. Personnel.

II. Number of Volunteers Recruited for the Games

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games plans to recruit 27,000 volunteers for the Winter Olympic Games and 12,000 volunteers for the Winter Paralympic Games.

3. Composition of Games Volunteers

The Games volunteers are divided into two categories: general Games volunteers and professional Games volunteers. Among them, professional volunteers refer to those who have the professional knowledge, skills and experience needed to provide specialized services, including but not limited to: language services, medical services, driving services and so on. Volunteers other than professional race volunteers are general race volunteers.

Fourth, the content of the Games volunteers

The Games volunteers will provide volunteer services for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics as well as for the competitions, and will be distributed in the Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou Competition Areas as well as in other venues and facilities, and will provide services in 12 categories: external liaison services, competition operation services, media operation and broadcasting services, venue operation services, market development services, human resources services, technical operation services, and marketing services, and human resource services. Human resource services, technical operation services, cultural display services, comprehensive services, security services, transportation services, and others.

V. Recruitment of volunteers for the Games

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games (BOCOG) is the only legal organization to recruit volunteers for the Games. According to the needs of the work, the BWCOG will authorize or entrust relevant organizations to assist in the recruitment of volunteers for the Games.

VI. Recruitment conditions for volunteers for the Games

(1) Persons who meet the following basic conditions may apply for volunteers for the Games

1. January 1, 2022, 18 years of age (i.e., born on or before January 1, 2004), with the physical conditions and health qualities required to carry out volunteer services;

3. Have the basic knowledge and basic skills required for volunteer positions;

4. Be able to communicate in Chinese or English;

5. Be able to participate in the pre-competition training in good faith, and to contribute to the Provide volunteer services to meet the needs of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games or Winter Paralympic Games.

(2) Applicants meeting one of the following conditions will be prioritized for employment under the same circumstances

1.Able to participate in the "Meet in Beijing" series of winter sports event volunteer services;

2.Able to provide competition-time volunteer services for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics;

2.Able to provide competition-time volunteer services for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics;

3. Provide volunteer services for both the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games;

3. Have certain professional knowledge and skills, including but not limited to: interpretation and translation services, medical services, driving services, information technology support, etc.

4. Other personnel urgently needed and in short supply for the operation and support of the Games.

VII. Selection and Employment Procedures of Volunteers for the Games

(1) Qualification Examination. The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympics and its authorized or entrusted organizations review the qualifications of applicants for volunteers for the Games.

(2) Testing and Selection. The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympics and its authorized or entrusted organizations shall adopt on-site testing, remote testing and other methods to select applicants for volunteers for the Games on the basis of merit.

(3) Pre-allocation of Positions. While giving full consideration to the wishes of individual volunteer applicants, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympics and its authorized or entrusted organizations will allocate service positions, specify the time of arrival, and communicate with the applicants themselves.

(4) Recruitment. The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games issues a letter of acceptance to those who are recognized as volunteers for the Games.

The acceptance of volunteers for the Games will be completed by September 30, 2021 in its entirety.

(V) Induction service. Volunteers, with the notice of acceptance and valid personal IDs, will be on duty to provide volunteer services after participating in the pre-game training, signing the commitment to volunteer service, registering and receiving uniforms and other materials at the designated time and place.

VIII. Time of volunteer service at the Games

The induction time for volunteers to provide services at the competition venues is generally from 7 days before the Games to 3 days after the Games (1 day after the Games for the Winter Paralympics).

The starting time for volunteers providing services at non-competition venues, training venues, and other venues and facilities is generally from seven days before the official opening of the venues, venues, and facilities to three days after the closing time (one day after the closing time for the Winter Paralympics).

Special positions of the Games volunteers can be flexibly arranged for induction time.

During the Games period, Games volunteers generally serve no more than eight hours per day. In case of continuous service for many days, a transfer of time off can be arranged.

Volunteers serving outdoors for a long period of time may be transferred to other duties as appropriate.
