How to make traditional Greek biscuits

Ingredients:

Butter 100g

Sugar 1/2 cup

Egg 1pc

Freshly squeezed orange juice 2 tbsp

Plain flour 2cups

Soda 1/4 tsp

Baking powder 1/2 tsp

Milk egg wash 1 egg Beat 1 egg and 2 tbsp milk

Method and basic process diagram:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees, cut butter into small pieces and melt in the microwave oven for 30 seconds, then beat the melted butter and sugar together until the color turns pale and fluffy, then add 1 egg and orange juice, continue to mix well

Flour, baking soda and baking powder sifted and added to the whipped butter paste, mixing well. Mix well and knead into a dough

Take a small piece of dough (about 1 tbsp) and roll it into a small ball, then put it on a smooth surface and roll it into a long strip, then fold it and twist it into a twist pattern

Place it on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and do the same for the whole cookies, leaving space between each one, and then brush with the milk and egg wash

Place it in the oven and bake it for 20 minutes or until it becomes crispy and the top is golden brown. Bake the cookies until crisp and the tops turn golden brown, remove the cookies and let cool on a wire rack, Enjoy!
