The concept of education, that is, the concept of educational methods, is the rational understanding and subjective requirement of "what education should be" formed by the educational subject in teaching practice and educational thinking activities, including educational purpose, educational mission, educational purpose, educational ideal, educational goal, educational requirement and educational principle.

Our definition of the concept of education should be a combination of prescriptive definition and programmatic definition. Educational ideas can be systematic, unsystematic, single or independent rational concepts or concepts, depending on the understanding and research degree of "what should education be", that is, educational reality, and their needs to guide educational practice. Both systematic and non-systematic educational ideas will have an impact on the educational practice of educational subjects.
