When was the first Canton Fair held?

China Import and Export Fair (formerly known as China Export Fair), commonly known as Canton Fair, was founded in the spring of 1957 and held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn. With a history of more than 50 years, it is a comprehensive international trade event with the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the most complete variety of goods, the largest number of participating merchants and the best trading effect in China. Since April 2007, the Canton Fair has been renamed as "China Import and Export Fair".

Scope of participation in Canton Fair:

The Canton Fair is held in three phases, each with a different scope of participation.

Phase I: large machinery and equipment, small machinery, bicycles, motorcycles, auto parts, chemical products, hardware, tools, vehicles (outdoor), construction machinery (outdoor), household appliances, consumer electronics, electronic and electrical products, computers and communication products, lighting products, building decoration materials, bathroom equipment and import exhibition areas.

The second issue: kitchenware, daily-use ceramics, craft ceramics, home decorations, glass crafts, furniture, rattan iron crafts, garden products, iron and stone products (outdoor), household items, personal care appliances, bathroom products, watches and glasses, toys, gifts, holiday products and local products (newly edited in 109).
