The earliest cosmetic brand in China is Xie Fuchun, the first cosmetic company in China.

Xie Fuchun has a history of 177 years and is one of the originators of Chinese cosmetics industry. Founded in 1830, Xie Hongye, the founder of Xie Fuchun, took "Xie Fuchun" as the name of the store. The word "Fuchun" means "fragrance", and it harmonizes with the word "Fuxing", which is connected with the word "spring", meaning that the shop is always young.

Enterprise History:

1830 Yangzhou Xie Fuchun Incense Powder Shop, varieties of incense powder, Tibetan incense, stick incense, incense bag and other products. Xie Fuchun's incense powder is famous for its resemblance to a duck's egg. It is made of natural raw materials, smoked by flowers and refined by the ice and musk scenting process; it is characterized by lightness, redness, whiteness and fragrance, and it is a tribute powder for the Qing court, and the people call it "Palace Powder". After using the face of the skin white red, red and white, both beauty and face, and remove spots and moles, remove the effect of wrinkles.

In 1915, won the Panama World's Fair in the United States of America, the International Silver Medal and Certificate of Merit. It became a famous brand of international cosmetics and the first brand of Chinese cosmetics.

In 1956, "Xie Fuchun Fragrance Powder Shop" was established as a public-private partnership, and "Public-Private Partnership Xie Fuchun Fragrance Powder Factory" was set up, with the main products of duck egg powder, ice musk head oil, snowflake ointment, clam oil, and 49 employees, and the gross industrial output value of 127 million yuan in 1958, which was renamed as Xie Fuchun Fragrance Powder Factory. In 1958, it was renamed as "Public-Private Partnership Xie Fu Chun Daily-use Chemical Factory".

In 1966, it was renamed as "Local State-run Yangzhou Daily-use Chemical Factory", with more than 100 employees, and developed products such as sanitary pills and refreshing oil, and the total industrial output value was 1.51 million Yuan.

In 1980, it was renamed as "Yangzhou Xie Fu Chun Daily-use Chemical Factory".

In 1983, the total industrial output value was 2.2 million Yuan. It mainly produced skin care, hair care, beauty and water cosmetics.

In 1987, the total industrial output value was 8.5 million Yuan, and the profit tax was 2.82 million Yuan, of which 550,000 Yuan was profit, and the factory director was responsible for the system. In that year, the total output value of Yangzhou cosmetic industry was 10.28 million Yuan, and the share of Xie Fuchun was 82.6%.

In 1989, the enterprise was honored as the provincial advanced enterprise in Jiangsu Province.

In 1991, Xie Fuchun cosmetics were presented to Kim Il Sung, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, as a gift.

In 2001, the production of the enterprise began to shrink gradually, and the enterprise was closed down and liquidated in 2003.

In October 2005, Yangzhou Xie Fuchun Cosmetics Co., Ltd. was established, and the old company was reborn.
