Pool Rules

The rules are as follows: Fifteen-ball rule refers to an event in which the 8-ball is the designated target ball to be struck. This event uses a mother ball and balls from 1 to 15, and if one player chooses to play a ball from 1 to 7 (small flower), the other player must play a ball from 9 to 15 (large flower).

Either player wins the set by hitting all the balls of his or her color into the pocket before hitting the 8-ball into the pocket.

EXTENDED INFORMATION

Scoring Rules

A player may continue to make shots after he has legally scored a ball until he is unable to legally pocket a ball of his chosen color. After the player has legally scored all the balls of his suit color, he will then hit the 8-ball into the pocket.

Penalty for Fouls:

When a player commits a foul, his opponent is given a free throw, meaning that the opponent may place the ball anywhere on the table (except for a teeing off foul, when the ball does not have to be behind the tee line); this is to prevent a player from intentionally committing a foul that would put his opponent in a disadvantageous situation.

When given a free throw, a player may use his hands or any part of his club (including the leather head) to reposition the cue ball (up to three times, beyond which the opposing team takes a free throw), provided that after repositioning the cue ball it shall be a foul to push the club forward to touch the cue ball except in a legal stroke.

Combination Shots:

Combination shots are legal, but the 8-ball may not be used as the first ball hit in a combination shot. A foul is committed when the first ball to hit the 8-ball occurs.
