When was the boy who jumped the net included in Hangzhou's fat material cultural heritage?

In 2009, Tiaojingtong was included in the list of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage in Hangzhou.

"Jumping a clean boy" is a traditional folk dance form popular in Xietian Village, Tangqin Township, jiande city, commonly known as "Big Head Dance", also known as "Big Head Doll Playing Liu Cui". Dancers must wear relevant masks and dance to express the plot and characters. The mask made by this indigenous method is exaggerated and unique, and the local villagers also call it "Jumping Big Head Doll". ?

There are three versions of the so-called "clean child". One refers to minors under the age of sixteen. The old artists in the village said that in the past, all the dancers in this dance were unmarried boys, including the "village girl" in the play, named "Jumping the Net". Second, the protagonist of this dance is a young monk, isolated from the opposite sex, and both of them belong to the category of "totally children". In addition, there is another saying: According to legend, in order to pray for "eternal unity and immortality", Qin Shihuang sent Xu Fuling, an alchemist, to cross the sea and board Penglai Island to get the elixir of life. In the prayer ceremony of worshiping immortals and praying for God, 3,000 boys and girls wore masks and danced in the dust, which were called "piano-jumping children", "piano" and "classics", with similar voices, while praying for God required more. Over time, "Qintong" was changed to "Jingtong". ?

Xietian Village, the main spreading place of this dance, was located in a remote mountainous area in ancient times, with inconvenient transportation and poor people's lives. Especially every spring, diseases occur frequently, and the village is often infected with a disease commonly known as "pig head madness" (called "mumps" in modern medicine). The patient's cheeks are swollen and his head is as big as a bucket, so there is no way to seek medical treatment. Old people think this is a traditional dance. Can it be prevented in jumping? They invited the master to preach and perform, and the activity of "jumping clean children" began. The children in the village freely combine and are full of enthusiasm, so they put on their homemade "big-headed dolls" and dance happily ... Around beginning of spring every year, the Lantern Festival reaches its climax. This class of dances is over, which makes this remote mountain village very lively. Three days after the festival, the "jumping net boy" came to an end. The big-headed masks made in those days were all set on fire at the entrance of the village. "Paper boats light candles according to the sky", all of which were burned down. The old people said, "The big-headed god of plague is sent from heaven, and children are not crazy." ?

From the perspective of modern people, this is a simple folk wisdom. Our ancestors have long understood the scientific truth that more activities and clever exercise can strengthen the body and prevent diseases. Because the "jumping teenager" strengthened the activities of the head and neck, and accompanied by the rhythmic swing of percussion music, it promoted the blood circulation of relevant parts of the human body and the flexible operation of joint muscles, which did have a certain preventive and adjuvant treatment effect on mumps. Therefore, there is a folk saying that "dancing with big heads is not crazy". ?

The most striking feature of Tiaoer is that the story is simple and relatively complete, which is different from other folk dances. It mainly uses a dance movement that is easy to learn and spread to describe and publicize a coherent and vivid story, which is humorous and conforms to the people's value orientation and aesthetic taste. Through this narrative little dance drama, it not only plays the purpose of strengthening the body, but also entertains itself and others. It can be said that everyone is happy. Moreover, the wit and cuteness of the young monk, the simplicity, kindness, innocence and liveliness of Liu Cui, a village girl, and the whipping and punishment of the old monk who is hypocritical in appearance and ugly in heart by the land father-in-law who represents justice have given this dance a strong comedy color, greatly increased the visibility and made the audience laugh happily. ?

In addition, the dance vocabulary of "Tiaojingtong" is concise and clear, and the movements are stretched. It is beautified and decorated appropriately on the basis of imitating life, which is unique, natural and vivid. With percussion music with the rhythm of "Taiwan Province is just a warehouse", the basic feature of "beauty in life, beauty in grass roots" is more clearly displayed. ?

At present, "Dancing Young Man" has been listed in the intangible cultural heritage list of Hangzhou and included in "Zhejiang Volume of Chinese Folk Dance Integration". The local authorities are actively making rescue and protection plans to find a new generation of "Tiaojie" to inherit this ancient folk art. I believe that in the near future, we can see the beauty and charm of "Tiaojie". ?
