Characteristics of Shu Brocade Production in Qin and Han Dynasties

The production characteristics of Shu brocade in Qin and Han dynasties are mainly multicolor brocade (multi-warp yarn), and its pattern is characterized by short warp direction and wide weft direction, which has the weaving characteristics of multi-heald and multi-creep loom (large loom operated by many people).

Shu brocade is the general name of the characteristic brocade produced in Shu county (now Chengdu, Sichuan) from Han Dynasty to Three Kingdoms period.
