Who is Liu Hanfei?

Introduction

Liu Hanfei, born in March 1941 in Suqian, Jiangsu Province, college education, deputy research librarian, member of the China Association of Chinese Opera Artists, director of the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Opera Artists, chairman of the Suqian City Opera Artists Association.

Liu Hanfei is the eighth generation of the drums of the north of Jiangsu Province. He has been a keen lover of Chinese opera since childhood, and after graduating from the Shanghai Light Industry Institute in 1960, he was not assigned in time due to the Cultural Revolution, so he learned from the north of Jiangsu Province drum artist Liu Baoshan, and successively studied under the famous north of Jiangsu Province drum singer Zhang Jiacheng, Shanghai's Liang Bongzhou, and Nanjing's Shapangui, Li Sihu and Song Xianzhu, the three old masters.

He has sung dozens of books, and his representative books include "The Legend of Five Plums and Seven Guns Against the Tang Dynasty", "Gao Huaide's Soldiers Go Down to the East of the River", "The Han in the Yuntai", "The East Han", "Luotong Sweeps the North", and other dozens of books. He is known for his elegant singing style, strong suspense, sharp speech, skillful performance, and beautiful singing. A large number of his works have been made into records, cassettes, VCDs, etc., which are very popular among the masses in the areas bordering on Suzhou, Lu, Henan and Anhui.
