Shanghai Yu Tianchengtang Chinese Medicine Clinic is located on the third floor of Yu Tianchengtang Medicine No. on Zhongshan Zhong Road in the downtown area of Songjiang District. The clinic has an operating area of 800 square meters, including 14 consultation rooms and waiting halls, and uses the latest electronic medical call system. On the same floor, there is a 700-square-meter Chinese herbal formula department, a decoction department and a Chinese herbal medicine warehouse.

Yu Tianchengtang was founded in 1782 (47th year of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty), it is the earliest old Chinese pharmacy in Shanghai area, and still maintains the tradition of Chinese medicine sitting in the hall. 2009 June Yu Tianchengtang Chinese medicine was listed as the intangible cultural heritage protection project by the municipal government, and was approved to be included in the designated medical institutions of the medical insurance in December 2011, and the payment of the medical insurance formally opened in January of the following year. In 2012, the outpatient clinic received 140,000 patients, holidays and other peak daily attendance of six, seven hundred people.

The clinic now has 23 Chinese doctors, including 11 deputy chief physicians and 12 attending physicians. Among the specialty clinics are: infertility, preeclampsia, prenatal and postnatal conditions of all kinds by Dr. Chen Yingzhu; acupuncture and tuina by Dr. Xu Xizong; asthma compresses by Pediatrics Yuan Jiliang; and unique treatment plans for gout, rheumatism, sciatica, frozen shoulder, cervical spondylosis and other conditions by Dr. Yang Guisheng.
