What are the categories of Japanese music? What are the more representative ones?

Ah ah ah. I'd like to see you in the same place. Let's have a long-distance hug~~

Let's start the lesson~

The word "lineage" is widely used in Japan, and there are many different ways to categorize music in many fields. For example, in clothing, there is the Shinjuku line, the Harajuku line, the Shibuya line, and so on (which in China is immediately distorted into the so-called Korean version of Ruili). Japanese music factions also have their own unique categorization method, that is, they are categorized by "region". Shibuya, Shinjuku, Shimokitazawa and other places in Japan are the distribution centers for young people, full of pop, music, clothing and so on, and in the midst of this flowing tide, which has produced a lot of musical talent, giving rise to a number of music genres with different characteristics (I still prefer the healing system...).

Shibuya lineage

The originator of the Japanese band "lineage". In the beginning, only HMV and Tower in Shibuya could buy albums of this kind of music, and the albums of this kind of music only topped the sales charts of Shibuya stores, so they were called "Shibuya System". Shibuya's style of music tends to be French chanson, which is soft and lazy. Shibuya is characterized by collage music, which is a new type of music that is cleverly transplanted from Europe and the United States to create a new type of music with an oriental flavor, and by the highly fashionable style of the clothing, which is characteristic of Shibuya.

A few years ago, the group was so famous that even Ayumi Hamasaki recognized herself as a Shibuya girl. However, the "ears" of people can tell that the electronic dance music of Ayumi Hamasaki and the soft, lazy "Shibuya" ...... What is this with what? ... -_-||| (ps. Utada and Kuraki also call themselves "Shibuya-kei"... Alas ......, there was no other way, as long as they said they were "Shibuya-kei", they were guaranteed to sell records in those years. I'm not sure if I'm a Shibuya guy or not. (^_^) But nowadays, talking about "Shibuya-kei" is getting old.

Shinjuku

Shinjuku, the heart of Tokyo, is both the administrative hub of the city and a shopping paradise of hotels and malls; Kabukicho, a district attached to Shinjuku, is also a contradiction in terms, with the famous Komagatari Theater in the center of Kabukicho exuding traditional Japanese culture, but also being a destination for pornography and other yakuza business (ahem.). Pseudo-Japanese novels immediately talk about gangs when they talk about Shinjuku. Shinjuku feels a bit like Shanghai in China. Everything is there and nothing is there.) In such an atmosphere filled with very different cultures melting and clashing, Shinjuku system music, in addition to the undulating arrangement of the songs, the lyrics are added to the strong colors of the Shinjuku area, with a distinctive Shinjuku characteristics, and the Shinjuku system is thus named. The representative of Shinjuku music is Shiina Ringo, who is known as the "Queen of Shinjuku Music".

Shimokitazawa

Shimokitazawa is Tokyo's live house district, where underground bands gather. Since the names of underground bands such as Advantage Lucy, fra-foa, and Pelican king appeared on the charts, the underground bands in Shimokitazawa gradually attracted attention, and the term "Shimokitazawa-series" came into being. On the other hand, because the music of Shimokitazawa-kei has a refreshing and relaxing character (such as the music of Megumi Takeuchi), some people regard Shimokitazawa-kei as an offshoot of Shibuya-kei.

Introduction

After introducing the three factions, we realize that Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Shimokitazawa are all names of places in Tokyo. That's because, after all, Tokyo is where most of the singers in Japan come from. We may not feel it when we are far away from Japan, but, in Japan itself, the pop world is going to pay a lot of attention to where a singer comes from. It's the same everywhere.

Japanese music has evolved to the point where there are outstanding musicians in other parts of the country, such as Osaka, Okinawa, Hokkaido, and so on (in places like Okinawa and Hokkaido, where the natural conditions are more favorable, the musical style is more on the side of nature's narrative poetry). Naturally, there were music schools named after their places of origin.

Of course, there are some schools of Japanese music that are not named after places.

The visual genre

is VR (VISUAL ROCK). What? You don't know what VR is? X-JAPAN is one of the most representative bands. They usually dress up. (They usually dress up (in Chinese parental terms, they dance like a bunch of devils) with visual impact as a prerequisite. But then again, X-JAPAN's lead singer does have a distinctive voice, which I won't go into here

The Cure

Also known as Healing. As the name suggests, healing music has the power to soothe the soul. At a time when stress has become a global concern, healing music has a special meaning. Especially in Japan, where work pressure is so high, the soothing sound of healing music is like a fresh and gentle breeze blowing for no apparent reason, giving people a surprisingly comfortable feeling. (e.g. Arisato Chika) Of course, this is also my favorite style. Recently, the healing newcomers RURUTIA and KOKIA are my favorites~!

Overall, the classification of music "departments" is usually a classification of different music styles, and if you like different music styles, you will pay special attention to different "departments". Regional departments also have the meaning of incorporating the stylistic characteristics of the region.

Above. The flowers...

I have studied Japanese culture. In fact, hajapan does not equal to unpatriotic, if not, I would not bother to mention Chinese music. Good places need to learn, this is to do as a person should know the truth of the minimum, but in some Chinese people, once the mention of Japan, even if even this most basic reasoning do not understand, for Japan they only insults and accusations, this is a group of ridiculous people (fed up with forum cynicism.). Ranting. No offense)
