Charm lies in Taihang Mountain-Yulingou, Shilou and Xingtai Castle.

Castle Shilou Yulin Gou

Yulingou Village is located in the northwest of Luo Lu Town, Xingtai County, along the 323 provincial highway from Luo Lu to the west 1 km to the south exit of Yulingou. According to the records of the stone tablet in Mizoguchi, Li, Zhao and Guo moved from Caishugou, Taoshuping and Taoshuping respectively in the early Qing Dynasty to build a village here.

Later, Yang, Zhu, Hu and An moved to settle down one after another. Seven surnames live in groups and are distributed in the shape of the Big Dipper. According to the villagers, at first, elders with different surnames negotiated on the issue of village names. In order to show the equality of villagers with different surnames, they decided not to name the village after their surnames.

In the valley near the village, there is a huge stone that looks like a fish. The moonlight is sparkling and looks like a fish scale. Everyone thinks that this is a sign of the gods, a gift from heaven, and a symbol of the richness and abundance of life, so the village is named Fish Scale Valley. The village name of Yulingou Village was used until 1970s, and then it was simplified to Yulingou.

Beautiful folklore

In the farming era, people in Yulingou lived a life of sunrise and sunset, enjoying the ecological environment of blue sky and white clouds, cool breeze and bright moon. Although farming life is hard, it is also less noisy and impetuous, which makes readers' thoughts fly and creates poems and myths.

It is said that during the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the Li family and the Zhu family in Yulin Valley were relatively rich, and some people in the Li family went out to do business and were literate. Well-informed, well-read, naturally pay attention to housing construction, spiritual life is not bad. The fairy tales handed down to this day also prove that there were literati in Yulin ditch in Qing Dynasty.

The synopsis of the story is: In ancient times, there were dense trees, birds singing, clear water flowing through the valley and fish swimming in groups. In this picturesque valley, there lived a family. Because of the death of their parents, the two brothers in the family lived by hunting. The honest boss married a sharp and mean daughter-in-law, wanted to seize all the property, and tried every means to drive the second child out of the house.

The carp girl who lives in the valley stream saw the family affairs of the two brothers clearly and decided to marry the second child. So on a sunny morning, the carp girl invited her good partner to Lizhaigou in the north of the mountain, set up a basin of water, endured the pain and let her partners scrape off the scales one by one with a stone knife, cut off the scales and fins, and became a beautiful girl and married the second child. Because she broke the dogma, the carp girl was punished by heaven and turned into a fish-like stone, lying in the valley. On the surface of the stone, the scars of scales are clearly visible.

The honest man's second child was heartbroken when he saw his wife turn to stone, and stayed with his wife all day and all night. After a long time, he turned into a stone and two huge stones looked at each other. In order to commemorate the carp girl, people named this ravine fish scale ditch, and the place where the carp girl used to support the pot was called Sanguo. Scraped fish scales piled up beside the three pots in Lizhaigou, from the bottom of the ravine to halfway up the mountain, forming a mica mine.

That piece of mica was brightly colored, and it was not transported until the 1980s, and fragments can still be found today. Today, this fish-shaped boulder is still lying in the ditch, witnessing the historical changes. The story contains a simple concept of equality, and it is also a vivid teaching material for villagers' excellent moral education.

Lu's residence and bomb shelter

From the entrance of Yulin ditch village, walk along the ditch to the northwest, cross a new village for a mile, and come to an ancient bridge. The ancient village is just around the corner. Near the ancient bridge is the confluence of two valleys. A bigger valley flows down from the northwest and a stream flows from the east. The ancient village was built on the mountain, and it was layered on the south side of Xigou and at the angle between Xigou and Xiaoxi.

The buildings in the village are mainly built with bluestone walls, which is unique compared with the Hongshilou in nearby yingtan. Stone buildings are scattered along the slope. From a distance, they are six or seven stories high and look like castles.

Crossing the ancient bridge near Kannonji to the northwest, there used to be three courtyards connected. The first yard faces the street. A corner of the high platform in front of the door is built into an arc, and a stone guardrail is built on it, which is convenient for traffic and can prevent children playing in front of the door from falling. There are five windows facing the street in the Second Hospital, and the words "courtesy, benevolence, wisdom and faithfulness" are engraved on the upper part of the wooden window, indicating the principle of life and family style of the head of household.

The third courtyard is the residence of Lu, chairman of the Kuomintang Hebei Provincial Government during War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's period, and the gatehouse is exquisite.

The gatehouse has a double cornice, a slate roof, Xiangyun wood carving on the beam, utensils for carving grape branches and the Eight Immortals hanging on the wood, and a small squirrel picking grapes on its back on the grape rack. Carving adopts the technique of combining hollowing out and engraving, which has complex composition, strong three-dimensional sense and vividness.

The two pillars of the gatehouse are suspended above the nine steps, and the bottom of the wooden pillar is the stone pillar foundation. The lower part of the column base is carved with a circle of exquisite lotus petals, and the upper part is carved with milk cubes into a stone drum with a waist in the middle. Go up nine steps, climb eleven bluestones under the doorway, and enter the yard. The original wooden screen in the yard is now only two stone piers with breast nails.

The courtyard is a standard quadrangle. The ventilation pipe between the North House and Westinghouse leads to the backyard. A bomb shelter was dug in the rock in the backyard. The hole is1.5m high,1.8m wide and over 3m deep. There is an air hole on the south side of the hole, which is behind the haystack of an ordinary family. On the whole, the courtyard is magnificent in style and rigorous in structure, which is conducive to escape. It's just that the Japanese devils once burned the left side of the gatehouse during the sweeping, causing damage to the woodcarving.

Walking on the streets paved with stone slabs, we find that the lettering on the lintels of ancient houses is simple and easy to understand, reflecting the life expectations of ordinary people, such as "living in peace" and "auspicious meeting". The windows are embossed with red stone, with various panes and strong three-dimensional sculpture, which enhances the aesthetic feeling of stone buildings. Large and small stone mills and stone mills can be seen everywhere in the streets and alleys. In the past years, generations of Yulingou people have used these stone mills to process green and ecological millet, flour and tofu, so that they can make a family dinner and enjoy family happiness during the wedding festival.

For the survival and development of a big family, villagers often sell processed flour to businessmen in exchange for more coarse grains or money. Businessmen drove the caravan of donkeys and horses, and transported flour to Shanxi along the ancient Shanxi-Shanxi road that passed through the village, which became a delicacy for large families in Jinzhong area.

Today, the stone mill has long stopped running, but the life of the villagers has not stopped, but has accelerated. At the rear exit of the newly-built Xingfen Expressway elevated Xigou, "a thousand miles a day" is not enough to describe the speed.

Walking past a big stone mill, there is a beautifully built quadrangle. The quadrangle here faces east from west and opens the northeast gate. There are four pairs of auspicious clouds painted on the beam at the door. The middle two are carved in the shape of faucets, and the two sides are in the shape of clouds. Painted drama characters and peony flowers are hung at the bottom. Two lines of official script are engraved on the lintel, with Lan Zhi's room above and Fu Lushou below. The lower ends of the wooden pendants on both sides are carved into the shape of pomegranate lanterns, meaning auspicious and festive, passed down from generation to generation. Climb the 2 1 steps and walk into the yard. The yard is square, with five thirds. The main building is on the ninth pedestal, and Sanming is surrounded by buildings. The carving at the lower end of the column is very special, and the knife method is simple, which looks like an upside-down flower.

An epic history of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression

There are many stone bridges in the village because it is located in the valley. After crossing a small bridge on Xigou, walking on the north side of the ditch, the roof of a stone building fell off and the stone wall stood. The villagers said that the Japanese set fire here during the raid and burned down the house. At the intersection of the two ditches, two cypress trees stand upright, behind which is a rebuilt land temple and in front of which is a broken stone incense burner. Standing under the tree and looking downstream along the valley, no one outside the village can escape the eye, which shows that it was scientific and reasonable to build the village here at the beginning.

Yulingou is indeed a treasure trove of geomantic omen. Although the village is located in the valley, there are floodplains for agriculture and water sources for irrigation. The ancient commercial road at the head of the village connects Xingtai and Zuo Quan, Shanxi Province, which is convenient for trade and can be advanced or retreated. ? 1940, the Sixth Administrative Office of the Eighth Route Army Taihang built a woolen mill in Yulingou Village, and set up workshops in Old Story and Hongluo Temple.

The Old Stork Mouth is located at the foot of the Old Stork Mouth Mountain on the west side of Yulingou Village. The workshop building faces south, with a construction area of about 800 square meters. There is a water mill here. The wool mill installed an elastic wool spinning machine by using the force of water flow drop. In addition to elastic spinning in the workshop, farmers are also organized to spin wool by hand to make up for the shortage of machine spinning.

Hongluo Temple used to be a temple with an original building area of about 1 1,000 square meters. The factory has set up 65,438+06 carpet looms in the temple, of which 65,438+00 are wooden machines. There are more than 40 workers in the workshop, producing 40 blankets every day. Later, the Japanese army swept through and Hongluo Temple was burned down by the Japanese army.

Beautiful and moving myths and legends, distinctive and large-scale Taihang ancient stone buildings, and the epic anti-Japanese history have added a bit of heavy cultural heritage to Yulin Valley.
