Who is the author of Romance of Love? What is the main instrument?
Romance d'Amour (Romance of Love), originally known as Romance Anónimo (Romance of the Unknown), is one of the great Spanish guitar songs.
The authorship of the song is disputed, with the current copyright belonging to Narciso Yepes, who used it as the theme song for the French film The Forbidden Game in 1952, and who claimed that it was originally composed in 1934 at the age of seven. But Vincent Gomez had used the same melody as early as 1941 in the American movie "Blood and Sand," and thus claimed authorship of the song.
But documents show that a similar tune had appeared as early as the 19th century, with one manuscript labeling the author as Antonio Rubira, and another attributing the piece to Fernando Sor.
