Where is Liang Zhaoming, former head of Zhanjiang Cantonese Opera?
Cantonese Opera, also known as "Cantonese Opera", originated in Foshan and is one of the traditional operas in China sung in Cantonese. Popular in the Pearl River Delta, western Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, southeastern Guangxi, and sometimes performed in overseas Cantonese-speaking Chinese communities. Its origin can be traced back to the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. As the ancestors of Guangfu people came from different regions, the development of Cantonese opera was also influenced by Yiyang Opera, Kunqiang Opera, Han Opera, Huizhou Opera, Qinqiang Opera and other operas, forming its own style, which is not only in the same strain as traditional opera culture, but also has strong Lingnan cultural characteristics.
