Wang Fanti's personal works
In his teaching, he has pioneered the cross-disciplinary research, and published papers such as "Basic Theory of Pipa Playing Technique and Teaching", "Several Problems of Pipa's Right Hand Training", "The Relationship between Pipa's Right Hand Movement Patterns and Tone Quality", and "Pipa's Teaching Language Research", some of which have been translated into Japanese by Japanese scholars and published in Japanese journals. Some of his papers have been translated into Japanese by Japanese scholars and published in Japanese pipa journals, and in 1991 he was invited to Japan by the Japan Foundation for International Exchange to conduct a comparative study of the Chinese pipa and the Japanese Satsuma pipa. His teaching and research results have had a wide influence at home and abroad.
Wang Fandi's performances are simple, sincere, deep and subtle, and he emphasizes on charm. He has a good grasp of the traditional music of different times and regions in terms of style, mood, and flavor, and his performances not only maintain the unique merits of his predecessors' artistic creations, but also innovate and develop along with the development of the times, so that he has a unique style among the many pipa arts. In 1988, he was invited by Taiwan's Formosa Records Publishing House to record "Wang Fandi's Pipa Solo Pieces Album".
