How to describe the current educational phenomenon in China in five words?

The accumulation of knowledge, the suppression of human nature (imagination), the lack of quality education, the lack of children's character construction, and the hollowing out of cultivating children's ideological and moral and behavioral habits.

The management system of basic education is unreasonable; There are problems in the evaluation system of basic education; Uneven distribution of educational resources and serious waste; The teaching form is rigid and solidified, and school education pays too much attention to knowledge transmission, ignoring students' sociality, values and creativity.

I also agree with the above question. At the same time, as a grassroots front-line teacher, I want to talk about my feelings:

First of all, the utilitarian phenomenon of education is becoming more and more serious. Basic education has always been centered on the entrance examination, focusing on the mastery of knowledge and the training to cope with the entrance examination. For most people, it is still a lifelong test.

Although at present, this is a relatively fair selection, but also because of the lack of "emphasizing knowledge over practice", "emphasizing memory over thinking", "emphasizing inheritance over innovation", attaching great importance to test scores and excessive competitive psychology, the whole educational thought and environment have become eager for quick success and instant benefit.

Education puts political function and economic function in the first place, and pays more attention to how individuals can acquire knowledge and skills to meet the needs of social politics and economic life, while forgetting the inherent educational function of education, giving up or forgetting the inherent purpose of humanistic education, in order to seek the "self-sufficiency" of individual mind.

Second, local (or school) education leaders are short-sighted, lack the concept of big education, and only attach importance to intellectual education while ignoring moral education. Due to the objective existence of the pressure of many schools to enter a higher school, the college entrance examination is still the focus of school work at present and for a long time to come, and all school work is carried out around it. Therefore, moral education tends to be diluted.

Moral education in many schools often lacks series, depth and effectiveness. Students' limited time is still compressed in the classroom. Although the outside world has been advocating excellent academic performance, in fact, the results are overwhelming. This kind of education has trained many students with unsound ideas, which will have a negative impact in the future.

Third, the development of disciplines is not balanced, and quality education has not really been implemented! . Many schools do not arrange courses according to the national class hour standards, and non-uniform subject courses are often crowded at will. Many schools have two sets of timetables, one is arranged according to the national curriculum standards, and all courses are available, which is temporarily used to meet the inspection of superiors; One set is the daily actual operation schedule of the school, and only the examination subjects are arranged.

Some schools carry out so-called community activities in order to flaunt themselves as quality education. In fact, as long as the school offers all courses such as music, body building and body building, it is much better than the club activities that are held only once a week, and students don't have to worry about which club activities to participate in!

Fourth, our education lacks humanistic care and humanistic spirit.

Basic education regards students as machines for receiving education and teachers as tools for imparting knowledge, ignoring human subjectivity and uniqueness. Basic education produces unified educational products with unified curriculum, unified requirements, unified organizational form and unified teaching level. People's uniqueness is limited in a very limited range, and personality is fundamentally ignored.

Emphasizing knowledge, but not guiding knowledge with due humanistic care; Emphasizing democracy and equality between teachers and students, the fact is that it fetters the freedom of teachers and students; Emphasizing the exertion of human subjectivity takes up a lot of space in people's thoughts and activities, so that subjectivity can not be fully exerted.

On the one hand, this kind of education has caused teachers' poor mental health, great psychological pressure and shortened job burnout cycle; On the one hand, students are more and more tired of learning.

The fifth is to ignore the traditional culture and education of the nation. Looking at primary and secondary schools, we will find such a strange phenomenon: we primary and secondary school students spend much more energy on foreign languages than on Chinese; Many foreign myths and stories are well known to many foreign people, but they know nothing about some traditional cultures in China.

Our excellent traditional culture is being frozen, abandoned and even destroyed. Today's children are getting farther and farther away from the core of China's traditional culture. The affection for China's excellent culture is drifting away, becoming indifferent or even disappearing.

This is the sorrow of a country and a nation, and the misfortune of a civilization in a historical period! Look at the phenomenon of "worshipping foreign things and admiring foreign things" in today's country. In fact, fundamentally speaking, it is because China has been paying attention to economic development in recent decades, while ignoring the inheritance and prosperity of national culture.

"Education" is a process of teaching others to think with knowledge as a tool, and to think about how to use what they have to create higher social wealth and realize their self-worth.

In the field of education, there are various definitions of "education", which can be said that different people have different opinions. Generally speaking, people define "education" from two different angles, one is the social angle and the other is the individual angle.

The former Soviet Union and China generally define "education" from a social perspective, while educators in Britain and the United States generally define "education" from an individual perspective. To define "education" from a social perspective, we can divide the definition of "education" into different levels:

(1) In a broad sense, any activity that improves people's knowledge and skills and affects people's ideology and morality is education. "Education" is regarded as a subsystem in the whole social system, which distributes and undertakes certain social functions.

The most essential understanding of education is the knowledge instillation and behavior guidance of people's thoughts by society; The object of education is people; The content must be benign and meaningful. So that people can transform society.

(2) In a narrow sense, it refers to individual spiritual sublimation. This definition emphasizes the influence of social factors on individual development. Defining "education" from a personal point of view is often equivalent to an individual's learning or development process.

(3) In a narrow sense, it mainly refers to school education, which refers to the activities that educators have a purposeful, planned and organized influence on the educated according to the requirements of a certain society or class, and cultivate them into people needed by a certain society or class. This mainly refers to the exam-oriented education in China campus.

Education is a practical activity to promote individual socialization and social individualization under a certain social background.

If defined around the basic elements of educational activities, education can be defined as a social activity in which people consciously transmit information to others through various methods and media, hoping to influence their spiritual world or psychological state and help or hinder others from acquiring certain concepts, qualities and abilities.

People in the former role are called educators, while people in the latter role are called educational objects. This definition accords with all human educational activities and can be used as the basic definition of education.

Zhang Xiulin, a contemporary poet and cultural scholar, has the following explanation in the article On Education:

The so-called education should be the teaching and dissemination of social culture. Social culture, including art and science, should include three levels of content.

The first level refers to high-level culture, that is, abstract and intangible, such as social psychology, aesthetics and value.

The second level refers to the concreteness from the first level down. Although you can't see the concrete existence, you can really feel its structure and activities, such as political power and its institutions.

The third level refers to the superficial culture, that is, the culture of tangible objects or materials. Simply speaking, it is spiritual culture, spiritual materialized culture and material culture.

The purpose of education is to educate people, in fact, it is to let people accept all kinds of useful knowledge, so as to absorb and melt this knowledge and make it directly act on society, or to sublimate new knowledge on the basis of this knowledge, that is, to discover and invent.

The former is like a physical change, and the person who accepts it is like a container for things. A few things are still the same, but in a different place, some are miscellaneous. This is probably what is often said about practical talents-technical or technical talents.

The latter is similar to a chemical reaction, which produces different and other things. Such talents can master the first-class culture well and easily form their own unique ideas, concepts and research methods. This is the creative talent.

The cultural influence of a country and a nation in the world is mainly the influence of first-class culture and creative talents. The highly developed nervous system of human beings is the material basis and prerequisite for the emergence and development of education. It provides complete thinking functions such as feeling, memory, association, imagination and reasoning, which makes people's consciousness influence and spread each other.
