China's ancient books must be read for life.
One of the classic works of Confucianism records the words and deeds of Confucius and his disciples, which embodies Confucius' political opinions, logical thoughts, moral concepts and educational principles. Schich
China's first biographical general history was written by Sima Qian, a historian of the Western Han Dynasty. The recorded history began in the 23rd year of Wei Lie Zhou (403 BC) and ended in the 6th year of the Five Dynasties (959 BC), covering 16 dynasties, including Qin, Han, Jin, Sui, Tang, Seven Heroes of Warring States, Wei, Shu, Wu, Wu, Sixteen Kingdoms, Southern and Northern Dynasties, Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, and so on. Zi, Jian and Sima Qian's Historical Records are both immortal works of China's historiography, and they are called "the history of the second Sima".
The Classic of Mountains and Seas
The content of Shan Hai Jing is mainly the geographical knowledge in folklore, including mountains, rivers, nationalities, products, medicines, sacrifices, witch doctors and so on. It has preserved many famous ancient myths, legends and fables, including Kuafu's day by day, Goddess's mending the sky, Jingwei's reclamation and Dayu's harnessing the water. Shan Hai Jing has extraordinary literature value, which can be used as a reference for studying China's ancient history, geography, culture, Chinese and foreign transportation, folk customs and myths, among which the mineral records are the earliest related documents in the world.
