Media is divided into which kinds
Media is divided into five kinds:
1, sensory media
Sensory media refers to the media that act directly on the human sensory organs and make people have direct sensations, such as the sound that causes auditory response, and the image that causes visual response.
2. Representation media
Representation media refers to the intermediary media for transmitting sensory media, i.e., coding for data exchange. Such as image encoding (JPEG, MPEG, etc.), text encoding (ASCII code, GB2312, etc.) and sound encoding.
3, performance media
Performance media refers to the information input and output media, such as keyboards, mice, scanners, microphones, video cameras, etc. for the input media, monitors, printers, speakers, etc. for the output media.
4, storage media
Storage media refers to the physical media used to store the representation of media, such as hard disk, floppy disk, diskette, CD-ROM, ROM and RAM.
5, transmission media
Transmission media refers to the physical media used to transmit the representation media, such as cables, fiber optic cables and so on.
