China Traditional Culture-Dragon Boat Festival

Dragon Boat Festival is one of my favorite festivals. This is a traditional festival in China. There are many activities on this day, such as making zongzi, dragon boat racing, hanging calamus, wormwood, smoking atractylodes rhizome and drinking realgar wine, which are said to ward off evil spirits. So far, the Dragon Boat Festival is still a very grand festival in the hearts of China people. I think the most interesting thing is the dragon boat race.

On the Dragon Boat Festival, my mother and I went back to my grandmother's hometown Shangyu to watch the dragon boat race. I saw a sea of people on the shore, and dozens of dragon boats were moored in the river in an orderly manner. Not only does each dragon boat have its own characteristics, but the people on it also wear different colors. The only difference is that they are full of energy and fighting spirit.

Bang, the dragon boat rushed out like an arrow, and the dragon boat race began.

I saw the gongs and drums players sitting at the front end of the dragon boat, blowing horns and beating drums, which were fast and slow. The rowers listened to the drums and paddled, and the water on the river jumped frequently with the sound of paddles. Another helmsman sits at the stern to control the direction, and the dragon boat moves forward quickly with everyone's cooperation. Everybody, chase after me and row to the finish line. People on the shore also cheered for them, shouting "Come on, come on!" Take this wonderful moment with a camera. I couldn't help joining their team and shouting, "Come on, come on!" At this time, a big red dragon boat suddenly accelerated when it was about to reach the finish line, overtaking other dragon boats. Other dragon boats also accelerated the pursuit. My heart was in my throat, and my hand clenched my fist involuntarily, for fear that the red dragon boat would be overtaken by others. With the cheers of "Oh", the red dragon boat crossed the finish line and won the first place. Then came the second and third ... In the cheers of people one after another, the dragon boat race was over.

The dragon boat race is really interesting. Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional festival, is more meaningful because of these activities.
