Is the Qing Dynasty copper tire cloisonne vase valuable?
Cloisonne, also known as "cloisonne with copper tires", is a unique handicraft combining porcelain and copper. To make cloisonne, firstly, we should use red copper as a tire, then craftsmen draw on it, and then stick corresponding patterns on the copper tire with copper wires according to the drawn patterns, and then embed enamel glazes of different colors in the patterns, and finally make it through repeated sintering, polishing and gold plating. Cloisonne is not only made of bronze and porcelain, but also integrated with traditional hand-painted and carved techniques, which is a master of China's traditional techniques. This kind of copper enamel was founded in Jingtai period of Ming Dynasty, and it was named cloisonne because it was only blue at first. Modern cloisonne has become the name of handicraft, not the color.
