Table tennis backhand grip method

Table tennis backhand grip method as shown in the figure:

Backhand grip is one of the two most basic grip methods of table tennis (the other is horizontal grip).

The characteristic of backhand grip is that both forehand and backhand use the same racket face to hit the ball (sometimes backhand can also be used to hit the ball horizontally), and the forehand attack is fast and powerful. It's weaker than the horizontal shot, but it's convenient and flexible to apply.

When attacking the oblique straight ball, the racket face changes little, so it is difficult for the opponent to judge. Therefore, when using a pen, be quick!

There are two kinds of table tennis grips, one is horizontal grip and the other is straight grip.

Backhand grip is China's traditional style of play. The main features are good forehand, outstanding features of the first three boards and good ball control in the table. However, the backhand position is relatively weak, and the strength is not as good as that of the horizontal board. Lean sideways, so the whole platform has strong running ability and high physical requirements.

Compared with the backhand, the horizontal grip is more balanced in both forehand and backhand attacks, which is convenient for power. Backhand twisting, pulling, twisting and hitting are more threatening. More suitable for stalemate. But it's a little awkward to catch the ball in the middle forehand.
