An ancient house in rural Anhui, imported galvanized iron gate, German handmade frosted glass

Going out of the Huizhou merchants, left behind the old Huizhou mansion, in the Huizhou region is the least lack of ancient Huizhou architecture. Compared to Xidi Hongcun, I personally prefer those ancient villages without development. Although they are not famous, environmental health and tourism conditions are not very good, but more permeated with a spirit, is to us such as the occasional visitor to another kind of shock of the soul.

I have visited many ancient villages in Huizhou before, and many of the beautiful old houses have remained in my mind and cell phone. Nanping Ancient Village, located in Yixian County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, more than ten kilometers away from Hongcun, has a history of 1,000 years, and has been called "China's Film and Television Village" because of having made many films such as "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," "Chrysanthemum Beans," "The Great Turning," "The Resurrection of the Sin" and so on.

In this village with many ancient buildings, there is an old mansion worth visiting, called Bingling Pavilion. The mansion was built in the 19th year of the Jiaqing period, almost 200 years ago. The owner of the house for the Jiaqing years of the current officials, the gatehouse for the eight gatehouse, in the plane of the system, the door back into a distance, forming the "eight" shape, which also symbolizes that the family for the family has the current officials.

In addition to the eight doorway, the most peculiar is the doorway above the carving of nine layers of brick carvings, each of which are delicate carvings, lifelike, which is also rare in Huizhou. And each layer of brick carving patterns are different, floral motifs dynamic and realistic, common peony, chrysanthemums, plum blossoms, etc., leaves or outstretched, or curled. The works follow the requirements of "there must be intentional, intentional must be auspicious", whether it is flowers, birds, fish and insects or birds and beasts, all have good intentions and a rich means of expression.

The gate is also very interesting, but also imported from foreign countries, in the upper right corner of the gate and the trademark "raver" logo. The door of the gate is covered with galvanized iron, which at the time of the Qing Dynasty is absolutely no technology, iron with thousands of rivets on top of the layout of the exquisite pattern. Through the gatehouse and gate of the mansion, you can see that the owner's cultural taste and wealth in those years.

After crossing the gate, you will come to the mansion, which is mainly composed of four parts: the gatehouse, the main hall, the side hall and the corridor. As the old saying goes: "Three feet of ice is not cold in a day, and it takes a lot of hard work to make one a better person, so the master named this place "Ice Ling Pavilion".

A room opposite the gatehouse has traditional wooden doors and windows, but the glass on the windows is not simple. Frosted glass for handmade, very thin only two millimeters, there are also beautifully engraved patterns on it, the glass is also foreign imports, as is the door, which was customized in Germany. Touch it with your hand, you will feel the bumpy feeling. Like this old glass, in the other ancient houses in Huizhou, it is very difficult to see, is basically an orphan.

The main hall, also known as Dewai Hall, is a traditional wooden structure. When you enter the main hall, you realize how amazing the wood carving craft in Huizhou area is, and how skillful the craftsmanship of the woodworkers in the old days is. The lintels, partitions, window panes, wells, beams, birdbaths, and arches are beautifully carved, and the mansion, with its deep courtyards, is engraved with traces of history, showing to the world the infinite charm of Huizhou-style houses.

To be honest, the whole mansion can be said to be very well protected, basically there is no damage, the second floor is also maintained the old pattern. This set of mansion everywhere is a fine product, the emperor's edict of the plaque, German glass, imported door, every place of wood carving craft can be said to be a cultural relic everywhere. The fact that it was preserved so well during the turbulent times can be imagined how difficult the process was. If you want to price this house, at least hundreds of millions to start.
