Shanwei has the largest coastal lagoon in mainland China--Pinqing Lake, and the "eight scenic spots of Shanwei": Red Field Starfire, Xuanwu Spiritual Sound, Phoenix, Chaiwang Wonders, Golden Box Silver Beach, Lianfeng Overlapping Jade, Wupo Positive Spirit, and Nanwan Vertebrate Wave are famous far and wide.
