Old Age Day is which holiday

Chinese Old People's Day on the ninth day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar, is the traditional Chinese festival "Chongyang Festival", but also China's traditional festival of respect for the elderly.

The Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly, which was revised and adopted at the 30th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress on December 28, 2012, and has been in force since July 1, 2013, stipulates that "the first nine days of September of the Chinese lunar calendar shall be the Festival of the Elderly every year". (Oct. 13) became China's first legal festival for the elderly.

In order to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly, develop the cause of aging healthily, and promote the Chinese nation's virtues of respecting, caring for and helping the elderly, the Law on the Protection of Rights and Interests of the Elderly, which came into effect on July 1, 2013, explicitly stipulates that the ninth day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar shall be the National Day of the Elderly every year, and in the same year, the Chung Yeung Festival has become the first statutory Day of the Elderly in China. The same year, Chung Yeung Day became China's first legal holiday for the elderly.

International Day of the ElderlyIn 1991, according to Resolution 106 adopted unanimously by the 45th session of the United Nations General Assembly, October 1 of each year was designated as the International Day of the Elderly. International Day of Older Persons is now the official internationally recognized day for the elderly.2018 is the 21st International Day of Older Persons.
