What's so particular about pasting couplets?

1. First of all, Spring Festival couplets must have top couplet, bottom couplet and horizontal batch, otherwise it is not a complete Spring Festival couplets.

2. Pay attention to the color of couplets. Common red means welcome, while white, yellow, purple, green and blue mean sacrifice. Don't use it indiscriminately.

3. Generally, the number of words in Spring Festival couplets is singular, which symbolizes auspiciousness.

4. According to the custom, the first couplet should be posted in the upper direction, that is, the right hand direction when facing the house, and the second couplet should be posted in the lower direction, that is, the left hand direction when facing the house. The eyebrows of the two couplets are flush, the symmetrical distance is appropriate, and the horizontal batch is in the middle position above the two couplets.

5. According to the content of the couplets, choose the place to post, such as "Days increase years, people live longer, and spring is full of kung fu", which should be posted on the door of the elderly, and "Happy to live in the treasure house for a thousand years, happy to take care of everything at home" should be posted on the door of the home, not in schools, hospitals and other places. If the meaning of the couplet doesn't match, it will make people laugh.
