The 14th Five-Year Plan of Yunnan Province

Yunnan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology issued the Notice on the 14th Five-Year Plan for Green Industrial Development in Yunnan Province.

The Notice clearly defines the development goals:

1. The intensity of carbon emissions continues to decline. Carbon dioxide emissions per unit of industrial added value decreased steadily, and the total carbon emissions control of key industries such as steel, nonferrous metals and building materials achieved initial results.

2. Energy efficiency has been steadily improved. The energy consumption of industrial added value of enterprises above designated size has gradually decreased, and the task of energy saving indicators issued by the state has been completed.

3. The utilization level of resources has been significantly improved. The comprehensive utilization rate of industrial solid waste reached 6%, and the water consumption per unit industrial added value decreased by 15%.

4. The green manufacturing system is becoming more and more perfect. The green manufacturing system in key industries and key regions has been basically completed, green energy and green manufacturing have achieved deep integration development, the energy-saving and environmental protection equipment industry has formed a scale, and the manufacturing level of new energy equipment has been significantly improved.

5. By 225, the green transformation of industrial structure and production mode has achieved remarkable results, and the utilization efficiency of energy resources has been significantly improved, laying a solid foundation for industrial peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality.

The document also points out that the green transformation of traditional industries should be promoted, and the industrial base should be upgraded and the industrial chain should be modernized.
