Hakka houses in Qiaoxi Village are now "eight scenic spots in Yangcheng"

Stepping into the ancient rhyme scenic spot in the west of Qiaoxi, the most conspicuous are several Hakka-style ancient buildings built on the mountain. Under the shade of lush vegetation, the glory of these century-old buildings remains the same. It is understood that there are 16 Hakka traditional residential buildings built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in the scenic area, which have been well preserved so far. The most distinctive Hakka residential building in the scenic spot is Jishan Building. It is understood that this Hakka residence was built by five brothers, including Zhu's 18th Zuqi, in the 28th year of Guangxu (1902) and completed in the 3rd year of the Republic of China (19 14), with a history of nearly one hundred years. Standing in front of the gate of Jishan Building, the words "No landlords and bullies are allowed to look up, only the poor are allowed to turn over" left on the wall during the land reform period are still clearly visible. The red words "public" and "loyal" are historical proof left by the Cultural Revolution. There is a book hanging at the main entrance of Jishan Building: "Tell things according to your ambition, be kind to your neighbors and be kind to others." Xie, assistant general manager of Meizhou Yannanfei Tea Farm Co., Ltd. told the reporter that this building was built by the Zhu brothers after the late father Wei Gangong rebuilt the Baoshan Building and Baoshan Family School in the village, and the "Jishanlou" was also named after it. Walking into the lobby, beautifully carved doors, windows and colonnades can be seen everywhere. One of the highlights is "Eight Scenes of Yangcheng". "Zhu's ancestors mainly engaged in trade and medicinal materials business in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Indonesia and other places. They painted eight beautiful scenes of Yangcheng at home. " Xie explained why "Eight Scenes of Yangcheng" appeared in this ancient Hakka residence. On the mural of "Goose Pond Seal on the Moon", the scenery around Guangzhou White Swan Pond was depicted 100 years ago. "Shimen" shows the prosperity of Shijing Town in Guangzhou, which is located at the intersection of Xijiang River and Liuxi River. In a hall on the second floor, the reporter saw a mysterious scene: nearly 100 bats perched on the beams and columns of the hall. Xie told reporters that it is called "Baifutang", which is the homonym of bats. This 100 bat lives here from March to 165438+ 10 every year, and only returns to the cave in winter. In addition to the Hill Building, the Shide Building and Baoshan Building built here by Zhu Liuyang's descendants and the Shide Hall built by the Chen family are also typical Hakka buildings in this village.
