The original song of Weeds is Xinhua fang.
Weeds is a song written by Xiang Tong and He, composed by Wang Zujie and Zhang Zhuoya, and sung by Xinhua fang. It is also the prelude, interlude and ending of the musical Heart of Grass released by 1985. This song won the first prize of 1984 the State Council Ministry of Culture's opera music creation. In 2008, the song won the award of 30 popular golden songs in the 30 years of reform and opening up. 1985 February19, Xinhua fang performed and sang this song on 1985 CCTV Spring Festival Evening.
