Introduction to Chinese music theory
"Chinese Music Theory" has six chapters: music system, material system, temperament system, palace tune system, structural system and symbol system.
The first chapter includes the position of music in the overall traditional culture of our country, the affinity between music and other traditional cultural categories, philosophical foundation, aesthetic characteristics and operating system characteristics.
Chapter 2 discusses the basic material of music - the four physical characteristics of sound and the characteristics of Chinese music in these four aspects.
The third chapter involves issues such as the Twelve Laws, the Law of Five Degrees, the Twelve Equal Laws, the Pure Law and the combined use of multiple rhythm systems.
Chapter 4 discusses the palace tune system, including pentatonic scale, heptatonic scale, uniform palace tune and rotating palace tune.
