What are the ancient literacy books?

Three-character classics, hundreds of surnames, thousands of words, thousands of poems, etc.

There are many textbooks used by the ancients to educate and enlighten children, among which the most influential and well-known is what we usually call "300 Qian Qian", namely "Saint Amethyst", "Hundred Family Names", "Thousand Characters" and "Thousand Poems".

Secondly, the ancients often used "Xiao Si's Book", which refers to four books: Qiu Meng, A Famous Event, Xunzi, Qiu Meng, and A Brief History.

These and other textbooks not only have great influence in history, but also have great reference significance today.

Some textbooks, as "children's books", used to be children's books, but today I'm afraid most adults may not be able to read them easily.

1. Three-character Classic: the crown of Mongolian learning.

Written by Wang Song Yinglin and revised by later generations.

The ancients said: you have to learn something when you read the three-character classics.

The full text * * * 1000 words, three words and four sentences as a group, each sentence rhymes and is easy to recite. The content includes China's traditional education, history, astronomy, geography, ethics and some folklore, which is extensive, vivid and concise.

The Holy Amethyst is the most famous textbook of Mongolian studies in ancient China, which is called the "crown of Mongolian studies" and the "book of the ages".

2. "Hundreds of surnames": convenient for daily use.

Edited by a scholar in Hangzhou in the early years of Northern Song Dynasty.

Make common surnames into four-character verse, like a four-character poem, which is easy to read and remember.

Hundreds of surnames are named after hundreds of surnames. It initially collected 4 1 1 surnames, and later added 504 surnames. Among them, there are 444 single surnames and 60 compound surnames.

The ancients said: read hundreds of surnames for daily use.

It is more practical for children to recite these hundreds of surnames than to recite children's songs such as "The big dog barks and the little dog jumps".

3. "Thousand Characters": Brilliant literary talent.

In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, it was written by Liang Zhou Xing Si.

Qian Wen Zi is recognized as the longest-used and most influential textbook for children's enlightenment literacy in the world, which is earlier than Three Amethyst appeared in the Tang Dynasty and Hundred Family Names compiled in the Song Dynasty.

The ancients said: read thousands of words, understand righteousness and reason.

Qian's writing style is beautiful, his words are gorgeous, his sentences are rhyming and catchy, covering astronomy, geography, nature, society, history and other aspects of knowledge. It is the best reading material for enlightening children and a vivid and excellent encyclopedia. ?

4. Thousands of poems: all-encompassing.

Poems of a Thousand Families is a collection of enlightening character poems that spread in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Generally speaking, poems are arranged in the order of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the selected poems are basically modern poems, including metrical poems and quatrains.

Although only 226 poems were selected, this book includes 120 authors, from emperors, prime ministers, bureaucrats and celebrities to monks, shepherds, anonymous people and even a few women's works.

The selected works have a wide range of themes, including writing landscapes, chanting things and expressing feelings; Farewell friends, mourn the past and hurt the present; Poetry and painting chanting history, entertainment singing and so on basically reflect all aspects of social life.
