How to weed the grape fields?

There are many kinds of weeds in the vineyard. Once weeds are in short supply, they will not only compete with grapes for water and nutrients in the soil, but also bring convenience to a variety of germs and pests, increasing the difficulty and cost of farming operations. Therefore, how to weed is a concern of fruit farmers.

Weeding methods in vineyards mainly include chemical weeding, physical weeding, mechanical weeding and biological weeding. What are their advantages and disadvantages? Let's analyze them one by one.

Chemical weeding is a technology that uses herbicides instead of manpower or machinery to inhibit or kill weeds. The principle of weeding is divided into inhibiting photosynthesis, inhibiting fatty acid synthesis, inhibiting amino acid synthesis and interfering with hormone balance.

Commonly used herbicides: quizalofop-p-ethyl (monocotyledonous weeds), fluoroglycofen (broad-leaved weeds and mixed weeds), glyphosate, glufosinate, diquat (perennial weeds), etc.

Advantages: labor saving.

Disadvantages: Grapes are sensitive to some herbicides, such as glyphosate, 2,4-butyl ester, acetochlor and so on. It is easy to cause phytotoxicity and root damage after use, and long-term use of chemical control will also have a certain impact on the ecological environment.

Teacher Chao Wuji's suggestion on chemical weeding in vineyards: Never use trees under 4 years old, floating root trees, weak trees and trees without malignant weeds.

① Artificial weeding

Refers to the method of manual weeding by relying on simple tools such as hoes and plows. A small park more suitable for fine management.

Advantages: the lowest input cost, zero side effects and the most thorough weeding.

Disadvantages: it takes too long, the work intensity is high, and the work efficiency is low.

② Covering and weeding.

Weeding with plastic film mulching: it can inhibit the growth of weeds by reducing the light transmittance, and has the function of water and moisture conservation. The disadvantage is that plastic film is easy to age and needs to be replaced every year.

Gardening ground cover weeding: similar to plastic film weeding, but more durable. Pay attention to fire prevention when using, and it is not recommended to use it in high temperature season.

Laser weeding

flame weeding

This part includes laser weeding, flame weeding and electric weeding. Because it is rarely used in actual production, some of them are still in the experimental stage, so I won't explain them in detail here, just a few pictures ~

Weeding by machine

It is a kind of weeding technology that uses mechanical weeding device to cut off the roots of weeds, and then turns out the ground to dry or turns into the soil for deep burial.
