Li Tinggui: Professor of Philosophy. Among them, "The Three Pillars of the Ancient Social Structure of the Miao People--Drum Society, Discussion Hammer, and Reasonable Old Man" was awarded the 3rd Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Science of the State People's Committee; "Miao Studies" was awarded the 3rd Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Social Science of Guizhou Province; and the book "A Brief History of the Miao People" was awarded the 1st Prize at the provincial level;

The teaching material of ethnic colleges and universities under the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" of the National People's Committee, "History and Culture of the Thao People", was awarded the 3rd Prize for Excellent Books of Ethnic Groups (the highest prize). He has been engaged in the cause of higher education of nationalities all his life, and has made many achievements in improving the professional structure and cultivating new types of talents. He is one of the founders of the Department of Philosophy of the Central University for Nationalities, and has the qualification of supervisor of master's degree students, and is authorized to supervise doctoral students; during his presidency over the work of Noble Institute of Nationalities, he has founded more than 10 specialties such as Chemistry, Foreign Languages, Physical Education, Computer Science, Ethnic Cultures and Ethnic Tours, etc, which make the layout of the specialties more reasonable and applicable.

At a young age, he was initiated in a private school, where he read The Three Character Classic, The Hundred Surnames, Zengguangxianwen, and The Four Books and The Five Classics, and then went to Hwakamasu Elementary School and Kaili Middle School, and then joined the workforce in October 1950. 1951, he was graduated from the Finance School of the Southwest Military and Political Commission, and then became an auditor, ombudsman, and head of the Finance Section of Fushan County, Guizhou Province, (present-day Kaili). 1956, he was the chief of the Central National Minorities' Committee. After 1956, he graduated from the Central Institute for Nationalities (now the Central University for Nationalities), majoring in philosophy, and completed further studies at the Philosophy Department of Renmin University of China; after 1962, he became a teacher and deputy head of the Philosophy Department of the Central University for Nationalities; after August 1988, he became the Acting President of Guizhou Institute for Nationalities, Chairman of the Academic Degree Committee, Chairman of the Academic Committee, and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Nationalities of Guizhou Province. Social part-time jobs include member of the Academic Committee of the National People's Committee, executive director of the Chinese Society of Ethnology, director of the Chinese Society for Human Rights Studies, director of the International Center for Cultural Exchange, standing committee member of the Guizhou Federation of Social Science and Technology, vice chairman of Discover Magazine, vice president of the Chinese Nationalities Revitalization Foundation, the first and second president of the Hmong Society of Guizhou, and the current executive president.

He has been engaged in higher education of nationalities all his life, and has made many achievements in increasing and improving the professional structure and training new practical talents. He is one of the founders of the Philosophy Department of the Central University for Nationalities and the new disciplines of foreign languages and ethnic tourism in Guizhou Institute for Nationalities. While accomplishing heavy administrative work, he insists on teaching and strives for scientific research with outstanding achievements. The books he edited, monograph or co-authored include A Brief History of the Miao, Principles of Marxist Philosophy, Outline of the History of Chinese Philosophy, The Miao Family on Leigong Mountain, A Historical Sketch of the Doctrine of Ethnic Problems, An Introduction to Ethnic Education in Guizhou, History and Culture of the Miao People, and Wandering in the Sea of Philosophy-Mao Zedong's Philosophical Grandiose, etc. He also edited and co-edited A Study of the Miao People. He has also selected and edited such anthologies as "Discussion Series on the Study of the Miao Ethnic Group", "Consultation Series" and "Selected Essays on Ethnic Philosophy", which have been well received by readers. He has also written a number of essays, prose, poems and scripts, with the most popular ones being Marxist Theory and Practice of Ethnic Equality and National Unity, The Three Pillars of the Ancient Social Structure of the Hmong People - Drum Society, Discussion Hammer, and Ritual Elderly, Talking about the Relationship Between Traditional and Modern Cultures, Learning Dialectic Law Against One-sidedness, and The Hmong Study, among others. Among the above treatises, "A Brief History of the Miao" won the first prize of Guizhou Province's Outstanding Achievements in Social Sciences, "Miao Studies" won the third prize, "The Miao Family on Leigong Mountain" won the fourth prize, and "The Three Pillars" won the third prize of the State People's Committee's Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences; "The History and Culture of the Miao People" won the third prize of the National National Minority Books (the highest prize of the session), and "The System of Regional Ethnic Autonomy and the Guarantee of Human Rights for Ethnic Minorities" was selected as one of the "Chinese Century Talent Performance and Essay Collection" was awarded the first prize, "Listen to Your Mother" won the first prize in the Modern Poetry Group of the National Literature Grand Prix, and he was awarded many prizes by the Society. He advocated that academic research should be at the forefront, and at the same time advocated the "emergence of a new force", in the "cold" field of discovery, to solve the problem.
