What is a CT scan?

The so-called CT scan is the English abbreviation of computerized axial tomography. It was first developed in Britain in the 1970s. Its basic principle is to use the different absorption rates of X-rays in the skull to image. The density of bones, brain tissues and cerebrospinal fluid in the skull is different, so the absorption of X-rays is inconsistent. According to this difference, X-ray beams are irradiated from multiple directions along the selected fault plane in the head, and the amount of transmitted X-rays is measured. After digitization, the absorption coefficient per unit volume of this layer is calculated, and then the image is reconstructed.
