Is Zhengyang Bookstore the most famous quadrangle bookstore in Beijing? Is the ancient pagoda in the yard really 700 years old?

It's actually an 800-year-old ancient pagoda, not 700 years old! Zhengyang Bookstore is the kind that can be seen in the courtyard of the 800-year-old pagoda in Beijing!

The bookstore is hidden in the courtyard of Song Wan Old People's Building near Xisipailou. This tower is a bone burial tower for the elderly in Song Wan in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, with a history of more than 800 years. It is one of the early buildings in Beijing as an ancient cultural city and the only brick tower with dense eaves in Beijing.

Every time you pass by Xidan, you can see xiaohongmen in Zhengyang Bookstore. This place is very famous in Wen Qing. You can arrange a time before closing the door and punching in, and look around this bookstore that has been open for ten years under the 800-year-old pagoda.

Song Wan Old Man Tower was built in Yuan Dynasty, with a history of more than 800 years. Because of this tower, Zhuanta Hutong is called the root of Beijing Hutong.

Three or four o'clock in the afternoon should be the most beautiful time. Light and shadow are interlaced, and several pomegranate trees are planted in front of the tower. Many pomegranates have cracked, but there are still a few hanging on trees in the yard.

Old objects such as fish tanks, door panels, doorsteps, etc. are said to have been personally invited by the shopkeeper from the old house at the front door, which is the scene of "pomegranate tree in the ceiling fish tank" in the old Beijing home. This also adds a bit of life to this small courtyard. These are the real restoration of old Beijing houses.

There are not many best-selling books in the store, only books about the history and culture of old Beijing, folk culture, hutong culture and food culture, and many books are hidden by the owner, which are out of print books that are only for reading and not for sale.

This is the first non-profit public reading space "brick reading space" in Beijing. "Brick" has two meanings. One is to take the homonym of "specialization": concentrate on reading; Second, it reveals that every brick and tile of the ancient pagoda has a long history and profound cultural accumulation.

Zhengyang Bookstore is different from online celebrity bookstores and even from traditional bookstores. Without gorgeous decoration, you can always feel the deep human touch of old Beijing ~ more like a quadrangle where books live and people chat ~

1, the business hours are 6: 00 pm, so be sure to arrange the time, and you will be disappointed if you are late;

2. when you enter the door, you should scan the health treasure to register, and everything else is the same. If you feel flustered indoors with a mask, you can also sit in the yard and blow the wind;

Books are classified according to Beijing's culture and history, almost all of them are old Beijing books, with photos, maps and old materials.

Although it is not forbidden to take pictures inside and outside the house, the indoor space is narrow, so it is best not to affect others' reading, but it is more casual outside.
