There are several styles of guqin
There are several styles of guqin, including wenqin, yuewangqin, yaoqin, brown zheng and silk-stringed zither.
1, Wenqin
Wenqin is the smallest body of the guqin, the sound quality of the most crisp a type of qin, the qin's pole is round, the body is made of a piece of knotless cypress or rosewood, while in the body of the qin carving on the exquisite literary themes of the design, and therefore named "Wenqin The name "wenqin" was given to it. Because of its thin shaft and small surface, the wenqin requires a high level of skill on the part of the player.
2, Yue Wangqin

The body of the instrument is usually made of Longbai or Rosewood. The Yue Wang zither has a dull shaft and a straight surface, making it suitable for playing slower pieces such as lyrics. 3, Yaoqin

It is less than 3 feet long. The surface of the qin is sunken vertically inward from the center, with a slightly chubby head, the back of which is engraved with "wen," a metaphor for culture, and "li," representing the pursuit of the heart, and there are two upright dragons on both sides of the surface, symbolizing the ruling authority of the Chinese emperor.
4, brown zheng
Brown zheng, also known as zhanzheng, is a stringed instrument before the Tang Dynasty, and the guqin same origin. The surface of the zither is made of rattan, and the zither pole is made of tree branches, rattan or bamboo strips. The sound of the brown zither is relatively clear and crisp, with a special musical flavor, and it is regarded as one of the representatives of the music of ancient literati and elegant people.
5. Silk-stringed zither
The silk-stringed zither is a variant of the guqin that exists in the guqin culture as a kind of finishing touch, and like the guqin, it is also played with silk strings. Compared to the traditional guqin, the silk-stringed zither has a softer, more crystalline tone, and a more minimalist design for its rods and surface.
6. Qiqin
The Qiqin is named after the Qi state in Linyi, Shandong province. It is more refined than the Qin Qin and the Chu Qin in terms of configuration and materials. Its tone is thick and expressive, and is considered one of the best choices for playing guqin music.
7. Huiqin
The Huiqin originated from the Huizhou area during the Tang Dynasty, and its simple and unique appearance gives it an extraordinary temperament. The sound color of Huiqin is soft and pure, and it plays very well with vocal and string music.
