To enhance China's cultural soft power, we must first know what cultural soft power is. According to the "Blue Book of Cultural Soft Power: Research Report on China's Cultural Soft Power (2010)" released by UNESCO Press, China's cultural industry accounts for less than 4% of the world's cultural market, while the United States accounts for 43%, the European Union accounts for 34%, Japan accounts for 10%, and South Korea accounts for 5%, which is a shocking phenomenon. In addition, China's deficit in cultural exchanges and trade in cultural products with the world is several times larger. Taking books, the most important carrier in cultural communication, as an example, after the efforts of many departments in China, the copyright trade deficit has been narrowed from 1:10 in the previous years to 1:7 now, but it is still too big a number. Moreover, books are mainly exported to some countries in the Chinese cultural circle and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and the book copyright trade deficit between China and Europe and the United States has even reached more than 1:100. China is one of the four ancient civilizations, with a long history and profound culture, which has always made us proud and we have been immersed in the past glory. Since the reform and opening up, China's hard power has developed rapidly and has become the second largest economic entity in the world, but the gap between cultural soft power and hard power is still relatively large. Culture is the soul of a country, but also for the development of the country's intellectual power source, the backwardness of the cultural industry, will certainly affect China's future development. Therefore, it is necessary to improve China's cultural soft power. How to enhance China's cultural soft power is a problem that China has to consider at present. To enhance China's cultural soft power, there are many ideas and paths, the author believes that we should start from the following aspects: 1, vigorously inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture, enhance the attractiveness of Chinese culture. China is one of the world's four major ancient civilizations, Han culture, as the essence of Chinese civilization for 5,000 years, contains an extremely rich material achievements and ideological heritage. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, China saw the emergence of the "Hundred Schools of Thought", and a large number of outstanding thinkers emerged, whose ideas still have a great influence on people today. The world's 75 Nobel Prize winners once said of Confucius: "To survive in the 21st century, mankind must go back 2,500 years to find wisdom from Confucius." However, it is no longer the era of "fragrant wine is not afraid of deep alley", but the information age where communication power determines influence.
