English-speaking countries' requirements for Chinese college-type nurses to work abroad

In general, nurses who want to go abroad for development should ideally fulfill the following conditions:

1) Have some basic English.

Almost every nurse asks at the beginning: how many levels of English do I need? How many IELTS points do I need to go abroad? In fact, IELTS scores are not critical or necessary, and nurses do not need to submit IELTS transcripts to go abroad. However, a good command of English is essential. If your English level is around the sixth grade of the university or IELTS 5.5-6 points, dare to open your mouth to speak, not mute English, spoken language can be basic communication, then you can basically meet the requirements of overseas customers.

However, in addition to everyday language, the other most critical is nursing English. This is especially important to Singapore, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other countries directly as a nurse more important, because you need to get to the other side of the country's nursing license, and these are all in English. Of course, the exams are not too difficult as they are all single choice questions. And this is where we Chinese are strong.

What you need to submit IELTS scores for is the "Train Abroad + Paid Internship" program in New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and other countries. Different countries and different programs have different language requirements. The least Ireland need IELTS 4.5 points, New Zealand, Canada, it is best to have more than 6 points, otherwise you need to advance in the language school remedial English.

2) Independent, adaptable, hard-working and good at learning.

Becoming a registered nurse in a developed country, the treatment and benefits are indeed very attractive, like a colleague of mine in Australia as a nurse can reach more than 400,000 yuan a year income, not including overtime, their own one person in Australia can completely provide for the life of the whole family. But success does not come easily. Overseas development, to be well prepared for the mind, out of the first six months - 1 year, will be full of hardship, language, cultural background, living habits, working environment, principle of the family and friends of the state of mind, etc., need to be a person in the beginning, quietly bear, unremitting efforts.

3) Have some clinical experience as a nurse.

Registered nurses in Singapore need to have at least one year of work experience, and enrolled nurses need more than 3 years of work experience. Although Saudi Arabia officially requires more than 2 years of work experience, but because the procedures are simple and convenient and there is room for drilling, so in fact there are a lot of Chinese nurses just graduated and went out, and even individuals in the unscrupulous agent and the guidance of the school before graduation. But I personally think that domestic work experience is very important, otherwise it will be very difficult for you to adapt to the foreign country, the language is already a problem, and if you are not proficient in your profession, your colleagues, supervisors, and doctors will easily find that you are a "rookie".

So, for those nurses who don't have any registered work experience, if you get an overseas Job Offier, then immediately find a hospital to strengthen your business skills practice. It doesn't matter if you don't have a salary, the important thing is to get the experience.

4) Have the necessary financial foundation.

If you want to go to Singapore, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates to work as a nurse, prepare 2-4 million funds enough. If you want to go to Canada, New Zealand and other places to work as a nurse, the local RN registered nurse qualification and then the employment of the upfront cost of 200-250,000, prepare 300,000 the most secure. Although there are stable part-time jobs overseas to earn enough for their living expenses and tuition fees, but it is important that upfront your family can produce so much proof of funds to provide to the visa officer to obtain a student visa.
