Where is Song Guo now?

Song Kingdom is located in Shangqiu City, Henan Province. Song State was a vassal state of the Zhou Dynasty, with Shangqiu as its capital (now Shangqiu City, Henan Province). From the spring of 1994 to the autumn of 1997, the Sino-American joint archaeological team determined the orientation, size and basic structure of the city wall by drilling and excavating the ruins of the capital city of Song State, and revealed the stratigraphic relationship between Song Cheng in Zhou Dynasty, Suiyang City in Qin and Han Dynasties, the old city of Guide House in Hongzhi Ming Dynasty fifteen years ago and the old city of Guide House in Ming Dynasty six years later, which proved that there was an existing one near Guide House. The plan of the city site is rectangular, with the east wall 2900 meters long, the south wall 3550 meters long, the west wall 30 10 meters long and the north wall 3252 meters long, with a total area of 10.2 square kilometers. In 2000, the ancient city of Song was listed as a provincial key cultural relics protection unit, and in 2006 it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
