Calmness and quietness, love of landscape-Zhao Ying's landscape paintings appreciation

Mr. Zhao Ying's interest is in the mountains and valleys, and his pastoral heart is in the vast grassland. This is my general impression of Mr. Zhao's landscape paintings! We met when we were on the same plane to Korea to hold a painting exhibition. At that time, I was young and impetuous, I only knew that the old man beside me was a painter, and we went to Korea together, and did not know that he was a famous scholarly landscape painter! He ventured to ask him what kind of painting he was mainly engaged in, and he humbly said Chinese painting. Now we have a topic, he is mainly the creation of Chinese painting, I am mainly Western painting, but we are both Chinese, have **** the same Chinese cultural traditions cultivation, the same outlook, studied aesthetics, philosophy, history, and other cultural cultivation is the same! So we whispered, afraid of disturbing other passengers. On the way, when we saw the mountains and gullies, the sea of clouds rolling, Mr. Zhao talked about his feelings about landscape painting, while also picking up his cell phone to shoot the sea of clouds outside the window! Such a love of mountains and rivers, love of nature must paint quite well, I thought to myself! Through our discussions along the way, so we have a better understanding and knowledge of each other, after getting off the plane we became friends for life, and had a great time in the seven days, very rewarding!

Mr. Zhao's landscape paintings are quiet and elegant. His paintings of clouds and smoke, small bridges and rivers, ink and dye soaked penetrating, fresh and natural, great "empty mountains after the new rain, the weather late in the fall. The poetic context of "the bright moon shining between the pines, the clear spring flowing over the stones" is really the embodiment and reflection of the philosophical discernment of "there is a painting in the poem, and there is a poem in the painting", which is the unity of heaven and man. Seeing his paintings, I can't help but think of Wang Wei's "sleepwalking" realm: poets and painters, instead of being constrained by the magnificent mountains and rivers in front of them and the beauty of the human world, they let go of their hearts and minds, and construct a new world of beauty in their hearts. This world is no longer the world of reality: the handsome tall mountains, surrounded by clouds and mist, drunkenly lying in thought, listening to birds chirping cui, gurgling water, fish whispering, the sound of the pine waves, the people are hidden, playful self!

But I prefer his prairie theme paintings, in the grassland group on display: the vast grassland, the river from the sky far from the flow, twisting and soft, like the white Haddad with the wind fluttering; that lush and beautiful grass, but also densely embraced; full of horses stand quietly at the riverside to drink, some are lying down to enjoy, some raise their heads to look into the distance, and some whispering to each other; and then there are those who also present the beauty of the static! A good one on earth fairy quiet! The grassland folk song "Cilechuan, under the Yinshan Mountain, the sky like a dome, covering the four fields. The sky is pale, the wild, the wind blows the grass to see the cattle and sheep ″ of the portrayal of the heavenly realm on earth! Very literati sense of elegance, mesmerizing! (Zheng Guixiang)
