The representative figures of Jin Yong and Gu Long's novels

Guo Jing

The Legend of the Condor Heroes is a very successful novel, and Guo Jing is a very successful figure. He is the opposite of Chen Jialuo Guijie's son. He is a simple boy from a peasant family. He is born dull, so he stays away from Yuan Chengzhi. He even has a dark complexion and an ordinary face, and is definitely not handsome. Guo Jing's success in writing is due to his clear and steady personality. He seems to be the embodiment of orthodox morality and traditional chivalry. His every move comes from the heart of nature. Readers may disagree with his views and practices, but they will never fail to understand him or doubt him. The realism of the character "Guo Jing" mostly comes from his simplicity and sincerity.

Guo Jing's character is the most important, followed by martial arts. His goal in life since childhood is clear: to be a good hero. Revenge for my father. The concept of "revenge" is of course not allowed in modern real society, but it is a basic moral responsibility in the fantasy world of martial arts novels. When reading martial arts novels, I think we should not look at "revenge" from a realistic perspective, but should understand that "revenge" is a moral responsibility and right designated by secular society from a symbolic perspective. Guo Jing's goal of "revenge for his father" is simply to "be a good man" and fulfill his social obligations.

Guo Jing's moral concept does not come from profound theories, but is based on some very common beliefs, such as the orders of elders must be observed and the promises must be done. Be loyal to your friends and don't be afraid of death. Don't lie. Don't be greedy for money and so on. "For the country and the people" is an ideal derived from these simple and common moral concepts, and there is nothing difficult to understand. Guo Jing's extraordinary lies in his unswerving loyalty to the moral beliefs he cultivated since childhood.

Smart people often waver on moral issues, while slow people are firm and clear-headed. Guo Jing was dull by nature, and his moral choice was unusually clear and reasonable. Between Princess Hua Zheng and Huang Rong, he chose to marry Hua Zheng instead of Huang Rong. Huang Rong asked him sadly why, and he said, "I'm a fool and I don't know anything. I only know what I promised, and I must never break my word. But I don't fight. Anyway, I only have you in my heart. " Guo Jing has neither Chen Jialuo's indecision nor Yuan Chengzhi's self-righteousness, but his clumsiness is the root of his trust and respect.

Guo Jing is more successful than Chen Jialuo and Yuan Chengzhi, another important reason is that he has a period of development and maturity. George W. Guo Jing contains mature Guo Jing, and his personality and moral and ethical foundation have never changed. However, through his experience, he changed from passive to active, and his moral concept evolved from foreign rules to his own principles of life.

His choice between Hua Zheng and Huang Rong is a good example. At first, he thought that the prescription given to me by my elders must be right, so I had to marry Hua Zheng; But according to my father's wishes, I want to be good with Yang Kang, and according to Uncle Yang's wishes, I want to marry Mu Nianci; Obviously, these things can't be done, so the medicine prescribed by my elders may not be right. However, with the idea that "you must never break your word", there is no doubt that he promised to marry Hua Zheng, and he must keep his promise. This example is an obvious turning point. Guo Jing has evolved from a passive moral level of obeying his elders to an active level of taking the consequences for his words and deeds.

An interesting thing about this example is that he chose his inner emotional tendency between the Elder Regulations and his inner emotional tendency, and refused to separate from Huang Rong for "a few words from others"; But between his emotional tendency and moral responsibility, he chose moral responsibility without hesitation. Later, in The Condor Heroes, Guo Jing, a middle-aged man, said in Kublai Khan's account that "the sense of righteousness is above family loyalty", and Guo Fu cut off Yang Guo's arm, so he decided to cut off his daughter's arm to atone, which is the embodiment of the same truth.

Chen Jialuo and Yuan Chengzhi are both young leaders, but Guo Jing is not. His political awakening, like his martial arts, is due to his efforts, accumulated bit by bit to the filled place, and finally blossomed. At first, his biggest responsibility was to avenge his father, to win face for the Seventh Master and to win Yang Kang well. But with the growth of experience and knowledge, he gradually realized the struggle between good and evil. National affairs and people's sufferings need someone to take care of them.

Gradually, things like revenge and taking the first place in the world have become secondary. In Yue Fei's suicide note, he suddenly found his true ambition and ideal. Guo Jing led the Mongols' War of Resistance Against Gold under unexpected circumstances. With this experience, after extremely difficult tests and introspection, Guo Jing is no longer a "silly boy". He finally established "serving the country and the people" as his lifelong goal, and he took the lead on his own initiative.

Guo Jing is not without its shortcomings. Many people criticize Huang Rong for exposing his shortcomings in The Condor Heroes, but in fact, Guo Jing has exposed a bigger shortcoming, that is, he is morally closed-minded. Not only can he not tolerate ideas different from his moral concepts, but he can't even understand them. At the same time, his moral outlook is too rigid and prescriptive, which makes him sometimes unreasonable. For example, if he wanted to punish Guo Fu for cutting off Yang Guo's arm, it would be very unreasonable. For one thing, she didn't mean to, and for another, Yang Guo's arm has been broken. What's good about cutting off Guo Fu's arm?

Guo Fu should be punished, and Yang Guo should be compensated as much as possible, but "an eye for an eye, an eye for an eye" is almost barbaric. For another example, he would rather kill Yang Guo at once than make him fall in love with Master. Guo Jing, a hero who has maintained traditional morality to such an extent and is in an authoritative position, I feel trapped in tyranny.

The problem is that Guo Jing is too persistent in life. It's too quiet. People should have different rules and regulations at different stages of life. When you are young, you should be strict with yourself, but when you reach the position of authority, you need to cultivate wisdom and be careful with others.

Guo Jing is a human being, and he also has shortcomings, which does not damage the success of this role, but makes him more realistic and friendly.

Guo Jing's character can be written successfully, at least half of which is due to Huang Rong's contrast. Without Huang Rong's liveliness and eccentricity, Guo Jing's stupidity will inevitably be dull; Without Huang Rong, Guo Jing's experience could not be so novel and interesting. Huang Rong is a little witch, and Guo Jing is a great guy. Huang Rong listens to Guo Jing, but without Huang Rong, this great guy can't solve many things and can't understand.

The most important thing is that Huang Rong, a little witch, shaped him into a good man. He didn't coax Hong Qigong into teaching him martial arts, but Huang Rong. He can only care about grief and not think about who killed his five teachers in Taohua Island. Huang Rong will avenge himself and his father, and then he will still be good to him; He can make a considerate commitment to marry Hua Zheng, and Huang Rong will stay with him no matter what the engagement is. If Huang Rong's moral concept is easygoing and everything is focused on him, Guo Jing's adherence to principles will not be so easy.

If Guo Jing has any shortcomings, it is that he is so lucky. It seems that he can be his moral perfection because luck keeps him from paying too much. Because of this, his later moral autocracy was even less convincing.

zhang wu ji

Heroes of the Condor is a novel by Jin Yong after Heroes of the Condor, but I think this novel and its protagonist Yang Guo should be treated separately, because the theme of Heroes of the Condor is completely different. Some people may think that martial arts novels are about writing stories, writing characters and not discussing any subjects. I quite agree with this view. To discuss the characters in Jin Yong's novels by themes is not to insist that these themes are the author's original intention, but what the readers have experienced purely, but that a finished work has its own life, so readers don't have to ask what the author's original intention is or what others want to comment on when reading novels. My opinion is that we can get a more coherent point of view by skipping to the next novel without talking about Condor for the time being.

Jin Yong re-played the leading role of Yuan Chengzhi in "Eternal Dragon Slayer". Zhang Wuji's life experience is much more complicated than Yuan Chengzhi's, and his experience is much more legendary than Yuan Chengzhi's, but Zhang Wuji's personality is quite different from Yuan Chengzhi's. He is much more easygoing and passive.

In the postscript to Forever Adversity, Jin Yong said that Zhang Wuji was not the material of a political leader, because he could not restrain himself, was cruel to the enemy, acted decisively and had no desire for power. But Zhang Wuji is easy-going and kind, and can become good friends with him.

Zhang Wuji's greatest characteristic is kindness. He doesn't pay much attention to distinguish right from wrong, or he just rewards good and punishes evil, but he is habitually forgiving others. He is an emotional person and easily moved by others. He may not succeed in threatening him to do anything, but he may agree to anything he pleads for, even if he is in pain.

His kindness can be seen from an early age. Xie Xun talked about the past on the island of ice and fire, saying that he hit the monk with seven wounds, thirteen punches and ten punches. Xiao Yuan said, "Adoptive father, there are still three punches left. Don't fight. This old monk is very kind. You hurt him and feel sorry. If you hurt yourself, that's not good. "

He spent the first ten years of his life under the care and protection of his parents and adoptive father. A series of subsequent sufferings never changed his trust and kindness to others. His parents committed suicide one after another in one day. When Yin Susu died, he told him to remember the people from all walks of life who forced his parents to die in Wudang Mountain and take revenge slowly. He remembered these people, but in the end he didn't retaliate against any of them. Among Jin Yong's leading men, it seems that only Zhang Wuji has never avenged anyone.

On the other hand, Zhang Wuji remembered Zhou Zhiruo's kindness in feeding on the boat, which he will never forget. Later, she was so tired twice that he almost died, and he didn't care at all. When I think of her, I always think of her goodness and don't want her to do anything wrong to him.

He is a warm-hearted man, and his love for his parents, adoptive father, Zhang Sanfeng and Wudang Six Heroes is always in his heart. He even felt close to Yoon, and he also had deep feelings for Yoon and Yoon Tianzheng. His protection of Yang Buhui and Wan Li's father is not based on the principle of "helping others", but on his natural love for the weak. In the secret passage of Guangmingding, he blocked the disaster as Xiao Zhao. Xiao Zhao was too moved to speak, but for Zhang Wuji, it was the most natural thing: "You are a little girl, so I naturally want to protect you."

In love, Zhang Wuji is also easy-going, passive, easily moved and easily manipulated. He returned love with love, Zhou Zhiruo loved him, and he showed great pity for her; Zhao Min was infatuated with him and gave up his glory. No matter how life is, he naturally loves her "unforgettable". They are all beautiful women, and Jin Yong has repeatedly described their beauty of snow and red roses, plus their beautiful scenery. Zhang Wuji's reaction is "a swing in my heart", spoony.

Zhang Wuji can't become a political leader, mainly because he is easy-going and passive, and lacks ambition. Another important reason is that he has no opinion, no talent and is easy to believe. It was a coincidence that he became the founder of Zoroastrianism, and it was not a pity that Zhu Yuanzhang later quit. He has no leadership ability at all, and he doesn't know much about strategy. Even if he didn't talk at the time, he wasn't cut out to be a long-term leader. He doesn't even have the ideal of being a volunteer. His world outlook is very simple, and the closest thing to his ideal is to hope that everyone will forget their hatred, make friends and live happily. Therefore, he is best suited to be a doctor. He studied medicine in Butterfly Valley, and then saved people with medical skills. This is where he shows the most initiative and when he is most appreciated. Martial arts is secondary to him, and medical skills are the most important.

I never liked Zhang Wuji very much. The real reason may be that his personality is just the opposite of mine. I have a prejudice against the character Zhang Wuji. But I still think such people have advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is good-hearted, never harsh, and never self-righteous. The disadvantage is that they are easy to use. They often know that they are being used and are willing to be used. Although this is their generosity, it also makes people who love them unhappy, because people who are good to him are as good as those who are not good to him. In fact, it is unfair to those who are kind to him. This mentality may be called petty, but it is also human nature.

Qiao Feng

There should be three and a half leading men in "Dragon", Duan Yu was the first to appear, followed by "Mr. Murong in the south and Qiao Feng in the north", but Mu Rongfu was not as famous as he met, so he had to be half, and the last one was Xu Zhu. Having said that, when Xiao Feng appeared, he was down a peg or two, and after the climax of Qiao Feng's story, "Tian Bu" also lost his spirit. Therefore, I believe there won't be too many people who object that Qiao Feng is the protagonist of this novel.

Qiao Feng is a tragic hero in Shakespeare's style. Anyone who loves to read Shakespeare's tragedies will notice how the heroines such as King Lear and McCobove are at the peak of their lives when they appear, and how tragic they are at the end, destroyed by fate and their own personality defects. Of course, it is wrong to put Shakespeare's model on Jin Yong's head. Shakespeare's tragedy does not contain this extremely simplified analysis. Borrow a little comparison, just to add interest.

For example, not only Shakespeare's famous plays, but also the famous opera Othello. Othello is a great Moor. At the beginning, the young lady of Venice politician, Destina, eloped with him. Her father, relatives and friends were very excited, and they followed him. Othello appeared calmly, and in a few words calmed the crowd and eliminated a conflict. "Put your sword back in its sheath," Othello famously said. "Don't let the dew erode."

When Qiao Feng appeared, he faced a beggar rebellion. Of course, Jin Yong's Xinglin rebellion is far more dangerous than Othello's first scene, and Qiao Feng's furious martial arts, prestige and wisdom are fully displayed in dealing with the rebellion, but the two protagonists are the same type of characters, as always attractive and as always heroic, that's for sure.

Put down the rebellion, lost the position of king, and went alone to find out the truth. Othello calmed the public anger and won the beauty return. When they lose one thing and get another, they all plant the bane that will destroy the future. At last Othello was deceived and killed Desdemona herself. He realized that he had made a big mistake and finally committed suicide in public. Before he died, he said in a lonely voice, "Where else can Othello go?" Qiao Feng committed suicide in front of Yanmenguan, because the world was too big to get in. From beginning to end, Othello and Qiao Feng were driven by fate. According to western classical drama theory, only heroes deserve tragic fate, and tragic fate just emphasizes Qiao Feng's heroic position.

Qiao Feng and Guo Jing are together, majestic and upright, depending on their martial arts route. Chen Jialuo's martial arts is too clever, what a sword and shield spider rope, what a hundred flowers wrong fist; Yuan Chengzhi's martial arts are orthodox, but his unique skill is the Legend of the Golden Snake with strong evil spirits, and Zhang Wuji's Jiuyang Zhen Jing is positive, but occasionally, Gan Kun's great skill is bound to be "heresy". Guo Jing Qiao Feng, on the other hand, is slow and steady, based on the ingenious but powerful "Eighteen-Handed Dragons".

But Guo Jing's martial arts still has tricks and traces. Guo Jing's strength seems to be half by trickery, while Qiao Feng's martial arts are almost invisible. It seems that this is entirely the power of Qiao Feng, and any tricks have become extremely powerful in his hands.

Qiao Feng's martial arts came from Shaolin and Beggars' Sect, but Jin Yong only touched on it slightly, and even described his moves, often without mentioning their names. In short, his gestures are unhappy and powerful, which is beyond the reach of an artist. Jin Yong said that he deliberately wrote Qiao Feng in this way, which made him different from other protagonists. Everyone has a history of learning, and Qiao Feng's martial arts seems to be innate. This, of course, increases the heroic color of Qiao Feng's myth. In Greek mythology, The Legend of Heroes is second only to The Legend of the Gods, and a hero like Hercules is almost a god.

Qiao Feng is better than Guo Jing, and the most important thing is his wisdom and precise thinking. The change of Xing Hua Yuan (a climax/kloc-more than 0/00 pages, I really don't know how Jin Yong wrote it, and his writing skill can be compared with Qiao Feng's martial arts skill), Qiao Feng fully showed his calmness elsewhere, and he was able to calmly analyze it in an emergency, and suddenly grasped the key to the matter.

Try to compare the passage "Under the Xuanyuan Stage" in Xinglin and Legend of the Condor Heroes. At that time, Yang Kang colluded with the Beggars' Clean Clothes Sect, and was able to move his soul to Guo Rong, tied him to the Xuanyuan stage, and launched a gang to kill him. As a result, Huang Rong used his quick wits and Guo Jing's martial arts turned the tables. If it weren't for Huang Rong's martial arts protection from Guo Jing, her cleverness and quick wits would not be used, and people would have turned into meat sauce. However, Guo Jing didn't have Huang Rong alone, and no matter how high his martial arts were, he ended up with two fists.

In other words, Qiao Feng has the advantages of both Guo Jing and Huang Rong.

But Qiao Feng not only added Huang Rong's witty Guo Jing, whose martial arts are stronger than Guo Jing's and his mind is more meticulous than Huang Rong's, but more importantly, he has leadership authority that they can't reach.

Guo Jing and Huang Rong can use Hong Qigong's prestige to turn things around for the golden couple. Qiao Feng turned things around with his thoughts, vision and way of doing things. His prestige in the Beggars' Sect in the past included his reputation for impartiality and strictness.

In western words, Qiao Feng has charm and terrible spirit. Jin Yong specially wrote "rebellion"

This occasion shows the authority of Qiao Feng's leaders, because it is convincing that a person can exert such power at this time, which proves that he has established a high prestige on weekdays.

Looking back at other Jin Yong heroes, Guo Jing's leading position did not appear until the last chapters of The Condor Heroes, and the condor was only side-by-side. Wulin champions Chen Jialuo, Yuan Chengzhi and Zhang Wuji are not necessarily strong. Only Feng is a well-deserved leader. Ironically, the moment when his leadership ability was brought into full play was also the last time he brought it into play.

What kind of person is Qiao Feng? After leaving the Beggars' Sect, his personal feelings gradually emerged. Jin Yong wrote that Qiao Feng returned to his former residence to visit his adoptive parents (he thought they were his biological parents) and went to visit his master in Shaolin Temple. On the one hand, he described Qiao Feng's feelings for them. On the other hand, with the development of the story, Qiao Feng became more and more involved in this conspiracy, and his grievances became more and more difficult to wash away.

Jin Yong made full use of Qiao Feng's adversity to show his greatness. He has deep feelings, but he is not controlled by them. He has clear principles, but he doesn't stick to details; He is brave and careful; He is very kind, but he doesn't have to struggle or reverse the weight.

What suits me best is that Jin Yong described Qiao Feng as a good man, not a fool. He is affectionate and extremely rational. "A gentleman can bully his side", but in personality, Qiao Feng has no weakness to attack. Jin Yong corrected the weakness of the previous Qiao Feng hero; The advantages of previous heroes were reinforced by Jin Yong on Qiao Feng.

Qiao Feng has no weakness, but fate played a big joke on him. Facts have proved that the ignorant, impulsive, weak, malicious and hostile masses are right, but Qiao Feng is wrong. He is really a Khitan, not a Han Chinese. More cruelly, according to the principle he believed in, those who wronged him for killing a series of martial arts heroes, such as adoptive father, adoptive mother and mentor, actually did not wronged him. It turns out that this is indeed his sin, because all these people were killed by his father.

Qiao Feng used his strong will, superhuman mind and martial arts to seek the truth and clear the grievances, but it turned out that the original sinner was himself.

This is the pattern of the ancient Greek tragedy King Oedipus. After Oedipus married Jaggers, Queen of Athens, it didn't rain in Athens for three years. The king asked Apollo for instructions. Apollo said that someone married his mother and caused a curse. The king tried to find the culprit, and finally found it was himself.

It turned out that when Queen Jaggers was pregnant, she dreamed that the torch was pregnant. The priest interpreted the dream and said that this son would marry his mother in the future, which would bring trouble to the country. The queen was afraid, so after giving birth to the child, she abandoned her son in the wilderness, but was pitied by the shepherd and raised as an adult, that is, Oedipus.

The truth came out that Oedipus could not stay in Athens. He was blind, self-exiled, wandering all his life, being chased by fate and angry gods forever.

Jin Yong loved western literature, and Qiao Feng's tragedy undoubtedly used this model in moderation. The basic spirit of this tragic model is to describe the struggle between man and fate. Although people can't defeat fate after all, the dignity of human nature is affirmed in the process of struggle.

Fate arranged for Qiao Feng to be a Khitan, arranged for his parents to be killed by Wulin people in the Central Plains, and arranged for him to be raised as a hero by the Central Plains people. Then fate stirred up trouble with a woman's unprovoked resentment, and put Qiao Feng on the road of seeking the truth, that is to say, put him on the road of extinction.

However, this tragedy is not the result of pure fate, but the result of fate, Qiao Feng's personality and the moral principles he believed in.

Qiao Feng is a hundred times stronger and smarter than Guo Jing, but his moral standards are exactly the same as Guo Jing's, which is a set of so-called "orthodoxy": loyalty to the nation, kindness to the weak and revenge for relatives. Guo Jing is a Han Chinese, and there is no doubt that he has carried out this practice. However, Qiao Feng suddenly found himself a Khitan, and his life-long value orientation would be suddenly reversed, leading to a serious conflict between feelings and rational principles.

The consequence of Qiao Feng's revenge is that he killed the person he loved the most, which can be said to be the spread of fate, but he violated his loyalty to Liao country and nation, but he knew it would be violated. It can be said that he must die, because he can neither suppress his feelings nor break through the orthodox moral norms he takes for granted. If Qiao Feng can break through the orthodox norms, he is not a tragic hero, but a wise man.

On the surface, Qiao Feng's tragedy was caused by his insistence on revenge. If he didn't insist on revenge first, he would go to eat grass with Aru, so Aru wouldn't kill him, and Qiao Feng wouldn't be unhappy and commit suicide.

But is it possible to think deeper? Will he really be happy if he immediately gives up revenge and leads a dull life outside the customs? Ah Zhu is naturally satisfied, but will he be satisfied? Or will he regret not avenge himself when he sees cattle and sheep in trouble outside the customs?

At the end of the shooting, Guo Jing and Huang Rong discussed how to help Xiangyang resist the enemy. Huang Rong said, if there are many soldiers and horses, you can get away in a bloody BMW at the last minute. Guo Jing immediately reprimanded her, saying that people should be loyal to their country and not waste their parents' education. Huang Rong sighed: "I knew this day was inevitable, so stop here, you live and die!"

Don't Zhu understand? Of course she understands. Of course, Guo Jing said "patriotism", and Qiao Feng said "revenge", patriotism and revenge. One is public and the other is private, which is a thousand miles away, but the focus of the problem is not revenge or patriotism, but accession to the WTO and birth. In layman's terms, it is the enterprising spirit of men.

Women often think that men should be satisfied with her, but this is just wishful thinking. At the same time, she also forgot that the reason why she admires him is often the charm brought by her career. Career is the lifeblood of a person, because through career, he has contact with society. Without a career, he is the loneliest person.

Fate urged Qiao Feng to embark on the road of destruction, but it happened that he got a chance to be saved. It turned out to be Zhu, just a beautiful and naughty girl. She met Qiao Feng, which was a complete accident. Joe air-dried took great risks to save her, but he was excited with indignation, not moved by the little girl. But he saved Ah Zhu, but he made Ah Zhu grateful and admired his heroism. He went to Wan Li without hesitation and waited for him at Yanmenguan, so Qiao Feng was rebelling. Since then, Qiao Feng has never treated Ah Zhu as a little girl.

The world betrayed Qiao Feng, and Arjun gave him a new world, that is, the life of two people hunting and grazing outside the customs. If Qiao Feng can accept it, he can be saved. Or, if this moment stops, and God allows Qiao Feng to foresee the future tragedy, he will understand that this is his only chance of redemption, but after all, this moment has not stopped. Qiao Feng only knows that if he can't untie the knot of "revenge", he won't be able to live a peaceful life from now on. So, this moment passed, his opportunity ended, and happiness flew away with him.

Dragon Eight Branches is a novel with a strong Buddhist flavor. Probably Jin Yong intends to advocate the compassion of Buddhism. If Qiao Feng's hatred is dissolved, he still has a chance to get happiness. Unfortunately, Master Guang Zhi dissuaded him with death, and Xiao Yuanshan and Mu Rongfu converted to Buddhism together. But at that time, Qiao Feng could not accept Guang Zhi's protest. This is not so much an opportunity as a more ruthless play of fate.

If we overemphasize Qiao Feng's hatred, then the story of Qiao Feng and Arjun is not a tragedy that makes all lovers cry at the same time, but a cautionary story. But Qiao Feng's revenge is not a sudden primitive bloodthirsty, and revenge is a typical part of a hero. The hero's nature makes Qiao Feng Qi Feng stand out: it shines brilliantly, but it also brings his own destruction.

The love between Qiao Feng and Arjun is the most touching love in Jin Yong's novels. Falling in love with Qiao Feng turned Arjun into a mature and respectable woman, while Qiao Feng's deep affection for Arjun Qionghai and the loss of her sad gun fascinated him even more.

Qiao Feng brought Guo Jing's traditional hero into full play, and at the same time announced the typical ending of this hero. The limitation of Qiao Feng, that is, this typical limitation, is that he can't be divorced from the values of secular society. In Eight Dragons, Jin Yong has raised some questions: Is the distinction between Hu and Han really the distinction between good and evil, good and evil, and friends and enemies? Han people must stand on the side of Han people. Is it true that the Khitans are loyal to the Khitans?

Jin Yong didn't ask very seriously, and the answer in Eight Dragons is quite simple and clear: racial disputes and personal grievances should be solved in the spirit of fraternity. Buddhists regard everything as illusory or unacceptable to ordinary people, but the spirit of kindness, forgiveness and peace-loving is much easier to accept.

In his next book "the legendary swordsman", Jin Yong brought this issue to a more basic category: the difference between the two schools of good and evil, trying to show that what is good and evil can not be divided from factions, but depends on personal emotions. Therefore, the legendary swordsman's hero is not a great leader, but an eccentric figure with noble sentiments.

Qiao Feng committed suicide in the contradiction between loyalty and loyalty between Dasong and Daliao, because without a society he could serve and a mass he could lead, Qiao Feng could not live. Between good and evil, Ling Huchong chose to retire, because Ling Huchong had no sense of mission, and he valued his personal life, a life that stretched his temperament. He is not interested in the fame and fortune of the world, but he is also not interested in promoting decent manners and saving the world.

In fact, it seems that the problem with the idea of "laughing as a river's lake" lies not in evil and righteousness, but in "carrying forward" and career ambition. If you are too ambitious for your career, you will turn a gentleman into a villain. Ambitious people get what they deserve, but the activities of developing ambitions are generally annoying. Heartbroken people, such as Xiang Wentian, will do despicable things as long as they reach the point of realizing their ambitions with strategies. Only by staying away from social disputes can we get real peace and joy.

However, Ling Huchong was not the first hero of Jin Yong who valued friendship more than career. He has a predecessor, Yang Guo.

Yang Guo

Yang Guo is more popular with readers, perhaps even Qiao Feng; Yang Guo is the embodiment of romance. In order to love the little dragon girl, he is not afraid of being accused by the whole world, and even despises his own life and will die with him. Every woman wants to have such a charismatic knight and such unswerving love for herself. Every man will fantasize that he is such a great lover, and there is a woman more touching than a fairy, such as Little Dragon Girl, who lives and dies for him wholeheartedly.

Less noticed is Yang Guo's rebellious youth. He is a hero of rebellious youth. My parents don't love me. Nobody knows me. The whole world bullies me. They all owe me, but I won't bow. I will fight to the end, I would rather die than surrender. These common grievances in childhood are exposed to Yang Guo one by one, enabling him to get the * * * of young people.

Another factor that causes * * * is Yang Guo's inferiority complex. Yang Guo is a poor boy. He has no parents to rely on and no strength to support him. He felt that the whole world looked down on him, which made him suffer humiliation. But in fact, he is a hundred times better than these people. The more they belittle him, the more he despises them. Inferiority often makes people extreme and conceited. Many people have this experience, and young people and literati are particularly sensitive, so they feel particularly profound.

However, if we carefully read The Condor Heroes, it is not difficult to find Yang Guo's inferiority and rebellion. Just as ordinary teenagers think that their parents don't love them and the world looks down on them, most of them are out of imagination, which is far from the truth. Personally, I don't like Yang Guo because I don't like people who are self-centered and don't try to understand others.

The most obvious difference between Yang Guo and Guo Jing is that Guo Jing puts social responsibility first and Yang Guo puts love first. Guo Jing insisted on serving the country faithfully, but Huang Rong had to follow. On the other hand, Yang Guo and Xiao Longnv reacted completely differently. In order to detoxify heartless Dan, Yang Guo promised Qiu thousands of feet to go to Xiangyang to get Huang Rong's head, accompanied by Guo Jing and Little Dragon Girl. At that time, Xiangyang city was besieged by Mongolia, and she felt that things were complicated and troublesome. She only hoped that Yang Guo would get things done quickly, and let them get rid of the poison of love flowers. They returned to the tomb of the living dead and continued to look inward.

After Guo Jing joined WTO, Yang Guo was not completely "born"; Guo Jing respected social norms and Yang Guo despised them, but he didn't "regard social norms as nothing". He is a rebel hero.

Yang Guo is a completely subjective and emotional person. What he should and shouldn't do depends entirely on his immediate feelings. He thinks that others look down on him and he will retaliate immediately. As for whether others are malicious or retaliate excessively, he doesn't consider it at all.

If someone treats him badly, especially disdains him, he immediately thinks he is a bad person and hates this person. If someone stands up to protect him, he will be a good person immediately, and he will know himself. Guo Fu said that his hands were dirty and he "hated her family". At this moment, Ouyang Feng regarded him as his own son in madness. He was greatly moved and recognized Ouyang Feng as his adoptive father.

Huang Rong connived at Guo Fu, but because of Yang Kang, he was wary of him and deliberately refused to give him martial arts. He is naturally hostile. Although Guo Jing loved him wholeheartedly, he didn't help him deal with the people he hated. He is always separated from Guo Jing.

His feelings for Sun Popo and Little Dragon Girl are also based on this, and he was bullied by Quanzhen school.
