Differences between Intangible Cultural Heritage and Traditional Handicraft
Intangible heritage: refers to intangible cultural heritage. It refers to all kinds of traditional cultural expressions handed down from generation to generation by people of all ethnic groups and regarded as part of their cultural heritage, as well as objects and places related to traditional cultural expressions. Intangible cultural heritage is an important symbol of a country and nation's historical and cultural achievements and an important part of excellent traditional culture. "Intangible cultural heritage" is relative to "material cultural heritage" and is collectively referred to as "cultural heritage".
Traditional handicraft: generally refers to traditional handicraft skills, and handicraft refers to arts and crafts with unique artistic style made by manual labor. It is different from the arts and crafts of mass production of standardized daily-use handicrafts by means of large-scale industrial mechanization. Handicrafts refer to products made by hand or tools. Mechanical tools can be used, but only if the direct manual labor of craftsmen is still the main source of finished products.
Classification of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage
There is no uniform and clear distribution of intangible cultural heritage in China, but different scholars have made various classifications from different dimensions, such as 13 classification proposed by Wang Wenzhang in Introduction to Intangible Cultural Heritage, four classifications proposed by Xiang Yunju in Oral and Intangible Heritage of Mankind, and macro and macro classification proposed by Zhou Yaolin and others.
Among them, Wang Wenzhang's 13 classification method is widely recognized by the industry, namely: language, folk literature, traditional music, traditional dance, traditional drama, folk art, acrobatics, traditional martial arts, sports and competition, folk art, arts and crafts, traditional handicrafts and other technologies. Traditional medicine and pharmacy? Folklore? Cultural space.
